Odd not letting folks use their gold to get the Caliban, I picked up the GSOR 1008 with gold and love it, ACPR = 321pen = 4 shot autoloader = Baby Waffle
Caliban is the proof that wargaming actually knew better but released the BZ176 the way it is anyway. Big gun should come with draw backs. Bz has none..
I bought this tank after this video and having learnt that it is on sale. It was the biggest mistake of my life. xD This tank is horrible.. I am struggling to get more than 1600 avg dmg with it and my standards for the bear minimum at tier 8 nowadays start at 2500 avg dmg. This thing never hits anything and probably is the most unflexible tank I've ever played with. Even less flexible than the FV4005. Hahah Anyway. My mistake. If you see this comment, don't buy this tank... Skill's first battle was 1 in 50 probably, or even less likely and Skill is perfectly right, BZ is just better at everything. Caliban is useless
Due to the low shell speed and high firing arc at long range, the pen is actually better than you'd think as it partially negates the armor angles. Otherwise, I think I've played mine only with the premium rounds. Much more reliable with 300 pen than the 186 for the HE.
caliban has lower shell velocity so in theory one would be able to arc shells onto the BZ roof better, maybe at an angle they can over match or pen! ;)
Imho that tank is crap. 16 seconds reload time for 150 damage when it doesn't pen, and its accuracy and shell velocity are horrible, wish I had seen this video before I decided to waste my Xmas gold on it, I 100% would not do it again! The Lanser on the other hand is a ton of fun.

Just wait till WG puts the BZ-176 on sale and all those who didn’t get it and are sick of getting wrecked by them purchase one to get even for all those times they could do nothing against them. It will be World Of BZ-176 X 10 😢
and expect it to be on sale the same way they did it for a few years with T44 100, special packages with gold included and it will cost 100-150 EUR. xD

Skill is a great player, but despite 3 marking this tank, he isn't playing it properly. 3rd person view only works with HE. AP is so good because of its high pen. I also do take it in the front line as support. Peek and boom tactics. I also try to only use both shells when I can fully damage my target with no risk.
It needs a buff as much as any tank currently in the game. The reload time is waaasaaay too long for such pathetic pen. Some artillery has better shell velocity.
As most know this tank came up during the Christmas loot boxes two Christmas ago. That’s the only way you should get it, meaning don’t pay money just to get it. You’ll get some fun games, but it is not competitive, it’ll sit in your garage most of the time!
I have been looking at your web site tech tree what does it mean "Ease of Marking" is for how well the tanks spots or is spotted? I am not sure thanks for the video and the website.

The 292mm of pen AP on the caliban is amazing, it is one of the few tanks that can pen a BZ from the front turret.
