You may have the threshold way too high, you didn't select the vertex group, or you didn't subdivide enough. Also another person had a similar problem, and they accidently used the mask modifier before the vertex weight edit modifier! let me know if this helps!@@holajuanjuan4650
@@blenderbuilder No, I have it well subdivided, I have the threshold to a minimum, and yes, I have the vertex weight edition activated, and even so, when I add the "mask" modifier, the figure continues to disappear. Also thanks for responding.
Did you apply all the modifiers before copying and rotating? cus mine didn't rotate like yours Edit: And for some reason, after copying the tornado and making the effects, copying those effects, if I try to change a color on one of the tornado effects, all the other ones get their colour changed
For me, I did not have to apply my modifiers before I started copying and rotating, and I'm not exactly sure why it's not working for you, but my best recommendation is to try and subdivide your model more as they may be the most issue However, for the colors, make sure that you click the number near where you can pick materials you already made, basically if you were to use a color you already made, and don't click the number(which is the amount of objects with the same material), then it will change the color of all the other objects with that same material. So by clicking the number, your creating a new material for the object Let me know if this helps!
@@blenderbuilder First one didn't work.... is it because I'm on blender 4.0.2? For the 2nd one I just duplicated the effects before adding color and adding cololr after I duplicated it and it worked!
I second this. It's be cool to see (BTW, you mentioned you,'ve never heard of it so here's a quick run down. Spinjitzu is a elemental/super power based tornado from Lego Ninjago, the term is an pormtamenou from "spin" and "ninjitzu". Often time the tornado color is affected by one of the three things: Element, clothing color, or hair color)
So at 5:27, look towards the bottom on the right, there is a 2 near where you add or change materials, all you need to do is click on that 2! Hope this helps!
how would you animate this ? i plan to animate every single tornade instead of join them together and rotate it with empty, each empty has different rotation speed, but also i would use displacment midifier to have some animation behavior on the surface. sounds good ? i subed this channel hope will make more good tutorials liek this.. ciao have nice day👍
Glad you enjoyed the video! if you would like to animate this, I'm no pro at animation, but I'm sure all you would need to do is just put some rotation/scale keyframes on the different parts of the tornado, and try your best to make it look natural, but best of luck to you!
hey, do you think you can make a spinjitzu vfx tutortial? idk if u saw ninjago but this would really help with me game developing on roblox studio, Thanks!@@blenderbuilder
I love your vids, keep it up. Btw, for some reason when i made the water droplets they were black. No matter what i did it didnt work how yours did. The most I achieved was turning it white. This isn't the only time I've faced this problem, when i try and make a glass object, it also turns black. Do you have a solution?
im not exact sure of this problem, but make sure there is alot of light emission onto the objects, and also try selecting a lighter color for the water droplets. let me know how this works!
@@SLYNE-kx8db In short, you add keyframes before adjusting your model, and then move it however you would like it to move in your animation! So for example, if you want it to spin, you would set a keyframe with a different rotation, and that would make the VFX spin in the animation! I have a video on my channel on how to animate in Blender, so that should help!
its not working I did everything step by step I even tryed out the other video where I saw the exact same video being used but instead they were making a ball and still not working
I was just using the scale, and extrude feature, but if you want to learn more about the basics to make it easier for you too follow, check out the beginners tutorial on my channel!
Oof. The tutorial was fun to watch, and I'm excited to try it, but the amount of LOUD noise and all that random meme stuff was kinda pretty stressful 😅 Maybe avoid that kind of thing in your content when it comes to tutorials? Or at least make them quieter and not as many
