Honestly, the one thing that I love the most about the various Blender tutorials is less the end result, and more the specific tidbits I can gleam from each and every Blender artist, the small tricks that one person uses that another doesn't. For example, I didn't know about the way to automate the rotation via #frame/[num], first time I see it used by anybody else before That will prove useful.
These tutorials are what I love. Short, to the point, awesome, and USEFUL. Keep it up. I expect your channel might hit 10k by the end of the year if you keep up this pace.
I noticed mine didn't have the same nice falloff, something not mentioned I believe is that you have View Transform changed to Filmic under the Color Management in Eevee's settings, is that correct?
Thanks this helped me. Additionally, for anyone else learning, it seems he has bloom checked in the same Eevee settings tab, and in the World tab, background is set to black. and the floor and axes are unchecked in the overlay settings on the top right next to the viewport shading modes.
Sup man , I'm so grateful for ur tutorial , but I have a problem . I created a shield , but I can’t normally export it in Unreal Engine 5 . Could u pls help ?
dumb question but how would i go about adding like a distortion? like say i want whatever is inside to get a slight rippling effect as if the sheald was twisting the light around them.
PROBLEMS (I'm using 2.82) 1:My emission doesn't make that "FOG" like arora effect like yours 2: My noise node doesn't have roughness 3: it doesn't rotate and I recieved an error when attempting to use the #FRAME/12 script cmd something about permanently enable script execution' wasted tut for me 0;[
From what I can tell this tutorial won't work for people using Cycles as there's no way to get the nice bloom-like glow around the object like in eevee. sad :( Though this does give me a good idea for a different effect...
you probly figured it out by now but eeh , you have to click the thing that says bloom, it is in the "render tab" aka the one that looks like a little like 📺
i'm pretty much a blender noob but when i tried to follow this tutorial the emission only shows on the inside of the sphere and not on the world around it... any idea what i'm doing wrong? thanks for the great content bbbn!
for the layer weight node plug the "facing" in to the "exponent" of power node, it will take tinkering to get it right, wish i could send you the setup i made for it .
man this is too hard to understand, can you please say like what u pressed like im 1 hour in and 1 and a half minutes have passed on your vid 😭 I also dont know how to "switch" on that sphere. Like that it is black on the inside that doesnt show??

You could also do #sin(frame/[num]), and cos, and tan, etc.. it's really coolio

Awesome, i am definitely going to use this effect in an animation shot! Thank you
Fantastic Breakdown! Have used your fire/smoke shader before, very creative designs.

Ward of dawn 😎
now put this in a real life!

Nice, simple and you got a new subscriber!!!
Please make can you make a tutorial on how to make a design like the one on the cover of your TH-cam channel?
How do i make this effect on a square?
hey is it possibel to make an aura around a character using geometry nodes? like the aura is perfectly around the mesh
Sup man , I'm so grateful for ur tutorial , but I have a problem . I created a shield , but I can’t normally export it in Unreal Engine 5 . Could u pls help ?
I heard you could make the magical shield with geometry nodes I just don't know how it's pulled off.
how do i export this to unity?
mine is not glowing
Go to render property then press ok to the bloom. It will be ready
It won’t glow in Cycles. You need to render it and open it in the compositor, then add a Glare mode with Fog.
how do you bake this into a texture? For me, only the bottom line shows up
dumb question but how would i go about adding like a distortion? like say i want whatever is inside to get a slight rippling effect as if the sheald was twisting the light around them.
me try do the same but it dont work
could I theoretically run a scale+pixelate to make these low poly for a ps1 style?

Can It be done with a sword, to simulate a 3d flaming sword, fire from all angles, i did the fire sword tutorial, but that was 2d
how can i export the shield to unity and make it to move in unity?
Ground gradient still glitches out the final result like what was seen in the final result. How would one go about troubleshooting this section?
It’s good to make jellyfish
From what I can tell this tutorial won't work for people using Cycles as there's no way to get the nice bloom-like glow around the object like in eevee. sad :( Though this does give me a good idea for a different effect...
Thanks for saving me time. Ran into a wall and thought I was doing something wrong.
why mine doesnt have glow?

why my transparent bsdf doesnt work in EEVEE
not working after like 10th time replaying your method, i gust got half sphere that has no input on ground
how to get it to ue5.3
Where did you learn all these effects, its amazing!
0:56 what did you did there? double click?
Bro Exactly I hate when ppl make tutorial and dont even tell what they are doing.....LIKE BRUH SORRY IDK THESE THINGS BUT TELL ME!!!!!
Its ctrl+shif+L click . But there are more stuff he used with more shortcut keys So idk. Its really confusing....
i'm pretty much a blender noob but when i tried to follow this tutorial the emission only shows on the inside of the sphere and not on the world around it... any idea what i'm doing wrong? thanks for the great content bbbn!
so i just turned on Bloom on the render properties tab on the right and that did the trick for anyone with the same problem :)
@@q8a5 Lol hahahahahahahahha
how do i do this with plane? when i copy the material to plane, it only show when in certain degree and the middle not transparent like sphere.
for the layer weight node plug the "facing" in to the "exponent" of power node, it will take tinkering to get it right, wish i could send you the setup i made for it .
unity 사용 가능?
Do I need to update my blender mine does not look like this
it might be becuse he used a one from a year ago. few changes between when this was uploaded and now.
