Love the direction of this video. From the intro with the fitting background music, to the compilation of others opening the packs, to the nice compilation and shots of checking out with the cards, it made everything seem super fresh among the yugioh video landscape. Love the vlog style of looking up who made the mystery boxes as well! Overall, a lot of smart, engaging, and varied choices that made this video a lot better than just a simple “we bought some mystery power boxes” opening!

I wish a card game would do that. You can use any card in your deck but you are limited to your mana of 10 per turn. And the effect of the cards corresponds to the level of mana cost. In this case similar to using the stars of each yugioh monster card will be the mana cost. For the extra deck, you can trade in monsters with a specific mana cost on the field for an extra deck monster of equal cost. So basically, turn extra deck monsters into boss monsters. And use monsters from your deck to bring them out. And you will be timed to play your turn/board, so it's all up to your wits and skills to move forward. Effects should be brief, playing effects should cost mana. This way people can't just summon a boss monster and immediately use its effect to do crazy stuff. In this format a wider range of cards should be more playable. Flip triggers also makes more sense in this format. Every tournament is a pool of cards that they rotate. Almost like a yearly goat format pool. And it doesn't have to be new cards everytime, so you can hold on to the old ones. New prints of old cards can come out to keep them looking fresh. I feel like this is what Yugioh should've been and try to be at the start instead of solitare.

What they do is, they take leftover stock that stores and websites couldn't get rid of. Shove it into these boxes, and resell it to people. The reason you got two DP Kaiba and Yugi, is because Konami at the time had re-released the Starter Deck Yugi/Kaiba Reloaded, with those DP packs included in each box. Have you guys looked into one of those anime cosplay decks someone makes off eBay? They recreate decks from characters straight from the anime, even cards not released in game.

Hey man at least you guys got unopened packs and wasn’t missing all the rare cards! Has anyone bought pre-searched blister packs from Walmart or target?
I have always thought that these were the equivalent of running through your local or swap meet buying 6 or 7 packs at random and opening them. However they include a collectors aesthetic and a couple of bonus cards. If you wouldn't just by random packs, you wouldn't buy this product. That's just my advice

Coming off of a lot of what they were saying, I'm glad I just straight up went for the boosters I went for. I will still buy rare packs but that's it. Yes, Legendary Decks II was reprinted.
I never bought packs at any Walmart or Target because I always felt they weren't gonna be as good. I had nothing to base this off of but I just always felt a card shop had better odds and there was nothing more fun then going to my local shop and each of my friends and I grabbing a box to take home and compete to see who had the better pulls.
You should watch Tolarian community College professor on TH-cam
He called the magic mystery boxes "Slurry"
Don't get scammed by wholesalers
@@cinnabarsteam4839 Its because mtg doesn't release meta staples and good cards in preconstructed or seeded products. All the best shit are old packs which are never on the market. So it's almost always shit. At least Yugioh forces these products to make sense.
I don't recommend the mystery power boxes, but I do recommend the chaos boxes because your getting more packs for less money. if you bought em all separately the total would be about 30$. chaos boxes have those but for 10 bucks less
I opened the power cubes for pokemon before from Walmart. Generally, the holo rates are lower in pokemon, and I managed to pull 2 Ultra Rares in the 2 packs I was given.
I wish the card game aisle at my Walmart looked like that; they only restock like once a month
9:57 "We coulda bought a lot of tacos for this money" Now that's a fuckin mood
Have you guys looked into one of those anime cosplay decks someone makes off eBay? They recreate decks from characters straight from the anime, even cards not released in game.
the only cool thing about the chaos boxes is you can get an ultimate in duelist pack kaiba, and they often have duelist pack kaiba in them
I just bought one of these and I didnt get a graded card, I just got a empty plastic case
That happened to dzeef in at least one of his mystery power box videos
@@stevensteier5914 it definitely happened twice to Dzeef
You got some grade 10 air doh XD
If it's like MTG (I don't play yugioh) it's the distributors that make the mystery packs. Mostly loose packs from damaged cases or bulk overstock that they need to move. That's why they're all crap.
What's the best OG pack to choose if I wanted to get a box?
8:54 is that a pair of off white air jordan one UNC ???
Hey man at least you guys got unopened packs and wasn’t missing all the rare cards! Has anyone bought pre-searched blister packs from Walmart or target?
Pokemon used to have the same problem until Pokemon started selling ex mystery boxes of their own and they cracked down on it
I bought the power cube a few years back, got a bunch of malefic monsters, are those valuable?
Yeah kinda
@@14ofnobodies65 wanna buy?
@@ilikelegos4247 not really lol. I already have a malefic deck
@@14ofnobodies65 please I'm a struggling teen
@@ilikelegos4247 as am I, sorry
I know this is a year later...but who’s off-whites were those? UNC’s are 🔥🔥
I pulled a graded gate guardian secret rare a month ago on one of these mystery boxes. I was pretty hyped
I think I’m the only one that got the “taco tueeesday” from Chris
My Walmart is stopping selling yugioh magic and baseball cards
I have always thought that these were the equivalent of running through your local or swap meet buying 6 or 7 packs at random and opening them. However they include a collectors aesthetic and a couple of bonus cards. If you wouldn't just by random packs, you wouldn't buy this product. That's just my advice
Just last week I got the powercube and I never got the five rares and the cards had damaged corners
Alright, I get the point, only get the structure decks from WalMart, but get everything else from less sketchy sources on TCGplayer (Or whatever the YuGiOh card selling website is).
woahhh Chris got the Sean Wotherspoons??? and the off white unc's??? love to see the sneaker culture
Coming off of a lot of what they were saying, I'm glad I just straight up went for the boosters I went for. I will still buy rare packs but that's it. That's all Walmart is getting from me. $12 for SOME decent pulls, but it's no mystery, Walmart is definitely running their scams on collectors and players who are wanting to come back. A scam for sure.
can someone explain why it says Muziek if you put the subtitles on when music is playing
Love this video so far. Just wanted to say Calvin has one long ass nail.
I bought a power cube once and this was when I got back into the game and wanted to get six Sam's and I really wanted a shi en and I got it in the power cube lol and it was ultimate rare
Hey Alec. You're my favorite person from The team really wish I could see and or hear more ideas from you. Please continuing being awesome
Yo, r u guys going to ycs London?
My man Paul was *TIGHT* about that $100!
