- Evo is the pinnacle of fighting game competition. And this year's installment gave us its fair share of highlights. But it wasn't all flashy combos and peak performance.
There were some moments that made us cringe, and others that made us laugh. From the most unfortunate dropped combos to the most unexpected cosplay, here are the best fails and funny moments from Evo 2018.

G coming out of nowhere, dressed the way he is, in front of a baffled crowd as he yelled about THE POWER OF THE PEOPLE to a shit ton of confusion, is the most G fucking thing ever. 10/10 cosplay for that sheer commitment to character

The G cosplay reveal was one of the most entertaining parts of any EVO reveal. People need to lighten up.

dragon viggo Two of the best bayonetta players of the world made it into grand finals, and decided to not to do nothing becauce they were mad of the constant booing that happend during the entire evo tournament.
The reason of all of the rage sadly is because bayonetta is prety powerful in smash 4, having tools no one has(compare it like a android 16 level 3 super but is fast like a jab) , making the game unbalanced and not enjoyable to fight
Tbh tho this is a huge problem we have in smash4 not in melee, so is kinda sad that also affects melee too
Not to mention that their not their fault, the char is the char, but the players are really nice persons.

I understand why Lima and CaptainZack did what they did. Both of them were being booed when playing (which is also why CaptainZack flipped off ths crowd) I don't support what they did at all I just undersrand why it was done. Both were not thinking of the future, the smash community is already seen as childish, entitled, etc and this just adds onto it.
It honestly was a reflection of the Smash 4 community, and I say this as a Smash player. The Smash community pretty much pushed them to get to this point. However, you're right that they weren't thinking of the future and that it will just adds onto the "stereotype" that the Smash community has, and to add onto that this might have ruined the chances of CaptainZack and Lima to get any sort of sponsorship.

One of them also flipped the crowd of before, but the stall was just so disgusting to watch and so cringey. Hbox gets consistent personal hate in the melee community and doesn´t do shit like this. They have no excuse rly.
While yes the booing was not needed. I don't think Stooping to the crowd level of pettyness didn't help either. It's just wrong on both the community and the players. Hopefully something like this never happens again

I'm not affiliated with the fgc in any way, but man this community is so friendly. Everyone seems to be just straight up having a good time. Of course there's salt, but nobody is taking anything too seriously. Seems like a really cool group of people.
