- A fearless and honorable warrior, Fenix embodied the best aspects of the Aiur protoss he served. In life Fenix waged his tireless battles against the enemies of the templar, first as a zealot then a dragoon.
Before his death, his consciousness including all of his memories and emotions was uploaded into a sophisticated data network as part of the secret purifier project. When the protoss leader, Artanis, sought a weapon to aid in his fight against Amon, he encountered the remnants of the purifier project along with the Fenix prototype. It was then that he was activated.

When I first encountered Mojo during BW, I always called him "Mojo Jojo" still do LOL

I've been wanting Talandar to be playable for so long... And I've seen the demonstration of him at work. He seems like he'd be the most powerful commander since Vorazun!

for anyone who is asking why blizzard calling him fenix is because they don't want to spoil his story in the legacy of the void campaign
Yeah I get that that's the reason, but at some point they're gonna have to go with the spoiler, LotV is around 2 and half years old now. Can you imagine if Star Wars still attempted to keep it secret Darth Vader was Luke's father?
you know that i didn't watched any of the Star wars movies yet so that is a spoiler for me and that is the case to other people who didn't play legacy of the void there is always someone who didn't played some game so it's better to keep it that way

What do you think will attract more people: Fenix or Talandar?
Blizzard should have the Original Fenix in Heroes of the Storm and Talandar in SC2. I think that'd be fair for the characters's meaningful lore
No its not. Not yet. At the point in the lore that COOP is set at, Fenix has not yet given himself the name Talandar
seeing the amount of SC1 (or expanded SC1) characters in this dlc makes me wonder what happens with other fallen Protoss heroes like Aldaris or Raszagal

And unless Blizzard retcons something, they'll never be purifiers, as they never had their memories uploaded to the purifier data matrix.
Tru, but explainable. Rashagal being Nerazim and her not being connected to the Khala, while Aldaris was from the Judicator Caste, and theoretically they're not military commanders nor soldiers.
nathaniel353 seeing how we never heard anything about purifiers in StarCraft 1 - only in Expanded universe - Blizzard can do say whatever they want in Expanded universe and then make it canon. I doubt they will do anything positive with Aldaris if anything at all, because for some reason he's only a "betrayer" now - people ignore the fact that he actually saw Kerrigan's treachery coming and refused to take part in it.
Aaaand Raszagal has a replacement now - the new DT matriarch, so she's not really necessary. (Despite the fact that Zeratul was made a new leader directly by Raszagal)
Matriarch =/= DTs Leader, also, remember that the United Protoss saw Zerathul as a betrayer until he died.
Fiusha Ironfoot Matriarch is a rank of DT leader. She was giving orders to Zeratul and other Protoss characters throughout the BW Protoss campaign. The only question is how many Protoss she commands - Raszagal asks Zeratul to be responsible for the future of her tribe - size of the tribe was not mentioned.
Did not expect a reference to Resurrection IV...
d3structi Well the whole character of Vice-Admiral Alexi Stukov in SC2 is a big reference, afterall.

@@kennovafastforward8460 Nah, Ouros the Xel-Naga took the form of Tassadar throughout Star-Craft 2 to help aid Artanis in his journey, but the real Tassadar died killing the Overmind.
Fenix, the ultimate badass. Gave his life for Aiur. Twice. And then became a robot. To continue giving his life. And getting rebuilt. And then giving his life again. . .
Seeing Purifier Kaldalis makes the Reclamation trailer even more of a tear jerker. He really did give his life for Aiur. T_T

Mohandar is a nerazim,his mind cant be cloned since it was during the conclave's rule,urun is kinda forgotten.
Taldarin was Adun's partner, he was one of the first dragoons and in a starcraft 1 bonus mission on the Nintendo 64, he helped Raynor cure Stukov's infestation, but only temporarily.
We need the REAL Fenix on Heroes of the Storm

I thought about a concept of Fenix as Zealot - Assasin which would transform upon dying into Dragoon - Warrior type of hero but this mechanic seems very unlikely due to Bronzies sacrificing Dragoon to be an Assasin again. Hero would be interesting for people with brain, but there are brainless people on this game too (I look at you, solo healer offensive Kharazims)...
But maybe Zealot/Dragoon Warrior type of character might be cool.
In the land where AoE is king, Protoss is the most OP.

These AI heroes are total fan service to those people who know everything about StarCraft lore, even the unimportant side stories that existed just for extra low-effort campaigns.

Fenix is my favourite character, and the purifiers are the best out of all the protos. I'm glad they brought back some characters who died like Talis when she died during the zeratul mission before the main protos Campaign

Taldalin, Mojo, and Warbringer
Oh my goodness! Mojo and Warbringer from Retribution! Taldarin, the Templar who have fought alongside Adun in many battles! Talis, who aided Zeratul in Whispers of Oblivion, and was never forgotten indeed! Kaldalis, the Templar who lead the assault against the Zerg in the reclamation of Aiur! And lastly, Clolarion! Man, so far right now, Talandar might be overpowered and will be my favorite coop commander. But why is he not Talandar? I hope this will be fixed.
I know it's a long shot, but I. Hoping to see Mira Han (or Mira Horner if we believe in that marriage) as a commander as well. A faction of Terran Mercenary units. You can't tell me they all just sat on the side lines while the Galaxy was burning.
They'd probably have a factor of cost with them, but I thought Mira was a pretty entertaining character for the little we got of her.
If you add the suits I can clearly see another multi-class hero for heroes of the storm. Maybe a support specialist hybrid. The arbiter could support your team or the dragoon could do massive damage to the enemy.
Finally, a protos I can get behind

One of my favorite Protoss Heros of Starcraft I (And II, But I still like more the I one) it's back, Definitely Fenix will be my first Pay 2 Get Character on COOP.

The coop missions does not represent the actuall lore, some of the missions are literally impossible to recreate like Temple of the Past.
I don't think he died his personality is just being copied since that is how they immortalize their hero and so now there are 2 Kaldalis
He died.... He knows that he will and he even admits it to Artanis (He was one of the first that lead the assault). He is truly a warrior that understands sacrifice.

Fodro89 with Warhounds and Goliaths, a Mech Assault Commander.
Fenix was the only character I was ever upset about dying in Starcraft, mostly because Broodwar forces you to kill him.
Being able to kill 12 hydralisks in one move is nearly impossible, so from this, I can tell that Fenix does an uncanny amount of damage in the solarite dragoon mode.

He needs Probius as a heroic worker. Every pylon he places summons an army of zealots, and he can overcharge them all 😀
I love how the Champions Assemble acheivement for him is called Champions League if you play the game in German.

It's Fenix. Fenix became Talandar just before the final battle in Aiur.
The war against Amon (Co-op) isn't canon, but it can be safely assumed it happened between the escape from Aiur (Spear of Adun) and just before Return to Aiur. If this is the case, Fenix would still be Fenix, not Talandar.
DANGgg Mojo, Warbringer, Talis, That Immortal, and I guess the champion Zealot died somehow. (I didn't memorize the names but I still knew who they were)
Im actually thinking that while id love an Alarak DLC campaign I think Fenix needs the most love and character development, much like a certain primal zerg did in HoTS.
The other chars got alot of fleshed out love lately, even Alarak, who again, is my biased favorate, and Stukov, and while I think those two need DLC campaigns, I feel that one centered around Fenix would be interesting, as it revolves around Talandar and the purifiers finding their identity in Protoss society.
Will we be getting Tychus in the Odin in the future?
