I have the Dritz version of the magnetic seam guide. The magnet is so strong I use it as a stud finder, too! I hold it lightly in my hand and glide it around the wall until the magnet sticks itself to the wall, indicating there is a screw or nail from a stud in that place. I'm sure Dritz has never imagined their sewing tool was helping me hang a heavy picture or shelf! 😁

My favorite notion is the wonder clip. So nice to not get stuck by pins when hand binding! Love all you tips .

My favorite tool is an organization container (like plastic bin) to hold all of my normally used tools. Always available to grab what I need knowing it’s there.

I have most of those and agree with your assessment. One thing I would add is that I have a suction cup magnet that I put on my sewing machine. I keep my Karen Kay Buckley mini scissors (green handle) on it. My number one must have notion! Well I guess that’s two notions, but completely essential. Once you do this, you will not go back and will wonder how you managed before.

I have a heavy-duty magnet and have found that putting a small piece of material under it when using on my plate helps prevent scratching my plate.
Also the suction cup magnet I use on all my machines to keep snips handy. 😊

I purchased the Martelli ergonomic rotary cutter after watching your video. I found it awkward to use for lengths of fabric (I couldn’t cut a straight line), but it’s great for piecing! You can hold it different ways depending upon the angle you’re cutting at, too. Thanks for another great video!

Thank you for this video! I now am a fan of Creative Grids rulers having tried many others. I also like Studio 180 rulers and techniques for specific blocks. They're expensive but worth it. Wonder clips are also a must-have along with Clover seam rippers and tweezers!

Thanks as always for your tips! I am going to try the pins to help with seam shifting. I am also going to look into the circular rotating mat. I don’t have any personal favorites yet but I am on my way!♥️

Have torn right shoulder rotator cuff. This limits cutting even with my Martelli rotary cutter. Out of desperation, I ordered the AccuQuilt cutting system. It’s rather expensive but it’s that or no quilting 😬. I did not order the electric model ( too pricey) but rather the large “hand crank” model. It allows using either arm which is, unfortunately, exactly what I need.
I sincerely enjoy your videos. Very instructive and calming. 😊

I LOVE the Quilter's Select rotary cutter and their rulers. Yes they are more expensive but I will tell you the rulers do not slip and the cutter is heavy and you do not have to place as much pressure3 on cutting as you do with other cutters.

I bought one recently and must say that I don't like it at all. It just won't move for placement for me. I guess different strokes. It sits idle on my shelf. :(

I did enjoy this video. I had been looking for the pins with the easy grip after seeing several people use them. I ordered some after you gave the link. Thank you. I like others have a lot of the same notions you showed. My favorite is my Martello cutter because I’m left handed and have rheumatoid arthritis and it helps so much! My other favorite is the magnetic seam guide. Such a huge help! Have a great week. Happy quilting. 👩‍🌾💙🪡🧵
