Oooh l recognise the plane at 7:40 ish! Nice to see you using it after restoring it recently. I love how the bass looks so far, and the choice of wood. Can't wait to see your next steps!
Love the shirt. LOL. Much better head stock design than the one on the template you started out with. It would be nice as a reverse head stock design I think as well. You need some light colored pencils to draw on the walnut or other dark wood so it shows up better when you go to cutting out the shapes.
Safety glasses when tapping a joint with CA glue... Get that in your eye and you will not have a good day... or week... Love the build, very relaxing to watch.
Sorry if I missed it but how do you measure the truss rod channel depth such that the truss rod is perfectly flush with the top of the neck? Is your router that precise in depth setting? OK, I re-watched it. You just insert the truss rod into the depth stop thing on the router and click it down. I am amazed that that is all it takes.
Loving the work so far! Playing catch up on a few weeks worth of youtube videos, youve probably got another one to watch by now Im sure! I ordered a shirt too, stoked!
@@AwenLutherieCustomGuitars I think by tomorrow I should be caught up on what a lot of people are doing in their videos. Then once thats done spend some time cracking into my build and filming... Never recorded anything before so a bit nerve racking...
Interesting only taping the business end of the truss rod up. I’ve not seen that before. I’m s l o w l y wading through my first build so a useful tidbit to tuck behind myself ear.
Taping the rest really isn't necessary. It's not detrimental, but not needed. So long as the workings and threads of the truss rod aren't gunked up, it'll work perfectly fine.
Looking good! It does not appear that you took straight string pull into consideration when laying out the tuner locations. Maybe you did off camera and thus the extra lines?
Watching with a home made pizza. No cup of tea today. :)
Birdseye necks are stunning, this is no different. Great stuff Sean.

Thanks for watching! Very good point about the safety glasses, I've heard horror stories
Love that shirt. Enjoying learning from you.
It is really nice to see your channel. I appreciate your work.
Its quite refreshing to see a single piece neck in the competition this year. It seems like everyone is doing a multi-laminate.

Enjoy playing catch up, I'm sure there's a ton of stuff to watch
