Can you share how you assemble the magnetic schedules ? I would like to know what I need to purchase to create them
    Thanks 😊

I print the schedules, laminate them, then cut them out. I add magnetic tape like this (www.walmart.com/ip/Go-Create-Peel-Stick-Adhesive-Magnetic-Strips-18-Count/19[…]NRniXfNL1H_2XJlNz_Wd366Y769bUGCuqrEaAg5-EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds) on the backs so they are ready to go! The movable pieces are all done with velcro, so the only part that magnets is the schedule template. ~ Jen

Can you show how you use you promethean board for morning meeting or whole group. We just got one and I’m used to using google slides. Just got the job so limited info about this on TH-cam. I want to embed videos to practice making choices, taking turns, etc.

That's a great request! Stay tuned for Parts 3 & 4 of this series, Jen will touch on that! 🙂

I’m going into my first year as an Autistic support teacher but this’ll be my 4th year teaching.. I’ve done 1st grade gen Ed for 2 years, 5th grade learning support sped and K-2 Autistic support 23/24.. 5th grade was a huge switch and I prefer early elementary.. however, I am concerned about teaching routines and procedures. What does teaching routines and procedures look like in a k-2 classroom? I noticed your visuals but do you take time In the beginning of the year to practice?

Definitely! The first two weeks of school are all about routines and reinforcement!

Hello! My name is Sally, I'm an autistic woman who hopes to become a teacher someday. I'll be graduating high school in June and hope to eventually teach kindergarten. I have a more mild form of autism where there are fewer indicators, but I wonder if being on the spectrum itself would be helpful for when I have students with autism, as I'd be able to relate to them better. However, I have nothing to base this on because the autistic people I do know either are around my age (my best friend and another very close friend) or were adults my whole life (my one aunt and my mom).

Hi Sally! I do think that you'd be able to see things from a unique perspective and that may help you be able to advocate for your students and their needs. Best of luck! ❤️

Can we see your classroom theme . I know we have to be careful with colors we pick but I was going for a donut them or crayon them i don’t know

I don't really have a theme - I go for bright colors that I can use again and again instead of a theme so it's easier to incorporate items into my classroom 😊 ~Jen
