I am moving from a PreK self-contained ASD unit to a 2/3 self-contained ASD unit. I’m struggling to wrap my head around a daily schedule and an arrival routine.
That's exciting - you're going to do great 🥰 Jen actually shared a video all about schedules earlier this year which you can check out here: th-cam.com/video/FHNjsKR7mbs/w-d-xo.html
I’m a 2/3 self contained and I think the main difference has been building more independent times, I’ve found at this grade level specifically the groupings have been really hard because I have SO many different levels and keeping a rigorous curriculum up with my more advanced students while adapting to behaviors from my more 1:1 kiddos is so hard.
@@nicolecurran6591 it is so hard - but it's possible! Be sure to check out our video on preparing students for independent work th-cam.com/video/U-Qjg2GkBqc/w-d-xo.html - it may help! 🤗
what program do you use for visuals for schedules? check in? math themes? literacy themes? so over whelmed. love all the strategies. Will be stating a K-2 Life skills class
Thank you for sharing. It is so helpful for me in setting up my classroom this year.
So glad to hear that it was helpful! Stay tuned for Part 2! 😊
