  • Prior to starting our Sidemount Essentials In-water Course, we wanted to meet the day before to review the equipment that the divers would use. This is one of many video based lessons from our online sidemount course. It is currently free to view, so enjoy. www.sidemounting.com/shop/
Here we show a live exchange between the divers and instructor as we look at how the harness is set up and what problems there might be before we consider what might need adjustment. We also talk about the features of the unit and what are the reasons behind some of the configurations the diver has made.

Remember the first time with my XDeep with Vas, I got back home with a bag full of d-rings, clips and other stuff we either removed or replaced for better options. Still love the modifications we have done, also the ones the second time over for the butt d-ring on xdeep.

Appreciate your video due the lack of detailed setup informations which goes beyond sidemount corses.
I will hit the subscibe button.
    Best regards from Germany.

I’ve been considering switching to fixed d-rings in the shoulders to make clipping more consistent. I haven’t tried the sliding d-rings yet. It seemed like it would be more to fiddle with with, but I do find myself between a cheap 3mil in the Caribbean and a drysuit other times.
