Hey you can lay this on top of clay but if you put too thick a layer you will kill your grass. My advice would be to use topsoil to level your yard. If you want to improve your clay, just aerate (remove the cores) and add 1/4-1/2 an inch of high quality compost. Much better than adding 4-6 inches of topsoil onto existing clay.

That's a 14 yard tandem which looked about 2/3 full. It's probably about 10 yards there. It doesn't go very far, does it?

yes you can use top soil on top of clay, just make sure that you do it the right way.
Be less worried about the clay. Better to be worried about the crystal meth, seems the driver is in on it also.
