Father's Day was this past Sunday. I have never had a father in my life consistently. I can tell you as a 34 year old man, it truly does affect you to the core. I was born with Cerebral-Palsy so I walk with crutches and wear braces on my legs. My dad walked out on me at a young age. I always felt it was because I was "broken". When I was in my mid twenties i made this exact promise to my future family (Lord willing). Then I found this song and it spoke directly to my heart. I pray that one day I won't hate Father's Day. I love the ending. The person in the video went to his father with his son. Maybe our fathers didn't know what we really suffered from or how to properly love us and deal with our hardships. Personally my father lived hard life and he just lived through it. He had no one to tell him that life is not a pain and he should not stand everything. He had to be strong and he thought it is the life. I also was told "hold on" and very depressed for a long time til I could understand his life. He loved me but he just didn't know I am not like him. He thought I could live through hardships like he did, from the experiences he had.

As a father of two beautiful babies. I plan on doing my duty to make sure my children have what they need and want throughout their lives. Sad that I’m always on the road having to miss them a lot just to keep food on the table and a roof over their head. It hurts to be gone a lot but I have to do whatever it takes for them to have a good life and be there on the times they need me to help guide them to not make the same mistakes I have made and to be on a good path to what ever they may choose in life. I've suffered from a lot of depression lately. I feel lost and unloved. I feel like I'm always being shamed for wanting to be who I am. It feels like I am never heard because my opinion doesn't seem to every matter. I pray time after time that I will have a better relationship with people around me, like my parents, but then I wake up and the first words I hear are words of anger and hate. It's all I hear. I want to change, but no one else will when I do. It just feels useless. I hate everyday so much. I just want to feel loved and trusted. But it's to much to ask for

As a father of two beautiful babies. I plan on doing my duty to make sure my children have what they need and want throughout their lives. Sad that I’m always on the road having to miss them a lot just to keep food on the table and a roof over their head. It hurts to be gone a lot but I have to do whatever it takes for them to have a good life and be there on the times they need me to help guide them to not make the same mistakes I have made and to be on a good path to what ever they may choose in life. Great song btw said it before but the meanings in all these songs are so heart felt and nicely written.

I've suffered from a lot of depression lately. I feel lost and unloved. I feel like I'm always being shamed for wanting to be who I am. It feels like I am never heard because my opinion doesn't seem to every matter. I pray time after time that I will have a better relationship with people around me, like my parents, but then I wake up and the first words I hear are words of anger and hate. It's all I hear. I want to change, but no one else will when I do. It just feels useless. I hate everyday so much. I just want to feel loved and trusted. But it's to much to ask for
