Hi mate, for Canada you probably want a two piece 7mm wetsuit. Depending on where you live, it can be hard to come by. I bought mine online at scubastore.com. They have great products and ship decently fast. Don’t forget about gloves and socks…
@@romanomantel7548 ty for anwersing means alot to me :) I ordered a open cell wetsuit i cant wait to see it!! Exciting to jump in the water with it and see what it feels like!!! SUBBING AND LIKING ALL YOUR VIDS THAT I SEE!!! :) next question what type of speargun is that and length?
@@skinz1234 thank man. Appreciate it. Make sure you watch a couple of TH-cam vids on how to put an open cell wetsuit on and how to take it off. Very important you use some kind of lube to get in otherwise you’ll tear it the first time you use it. But open cell is definitely the way to go! Good on you! The speargun you see me use, I made myself. It’s a 110cm long with a spear overhang of 40cm. I found that that is super important when it comes to accuracy. You want a spear overhang between 25-40cm. Not shorter. I’m also using a roller gun which has its benefits and challenges. They say it has more power and less of a recoil in comparison to a normal rubber band gun. My buddy bought himself a Rob Allen gun from a dive store in Vancouver and is super happy with it. I like them to be around 90-100cm long as it helps to close the gap between you and the fish. If you go shorter you lose power and accuracy but if you go longer you might find that challenging due to the bad vis in the Canadian lakes…
Yeah that’s why I love Saskatchewan. Basically the same rules apply to spearfishing as for angling! Over here in Alberta it’s legal but very restricted….
We.should fire off a letter to the OFAH. They got the Spring Bear hunt and Cormorant hunt legalized. Maybe if enough interest was shown they might do the same for spear fishing.
Hey Buddy, the only thing I bought were the rubber bands and the spear. The rest I made myself, including the trigger but the best site to buy stuff from is scubastore.com. It’s in Europe but great service and quality product. My friend and I both bought our wetsuits from there.
@@PeterMeier-n9u if you would take the time to read the title of the video, you’d see that I was diving in two lakes! But you are right! No pike or walleye in little raspberry lake…
This is awesome! I'd love to try spearfishing!
Very nice! One of my favourite lakes to spearfish used to be Lovering.
That's cool! And you don't have to worry about sharks!! Lol
Great job!
Nice work Romano. 🙌🏼
Thanks mate!
Nice one!!!
Thanks man!
Nice shots!
Thank you :)
Just starting this sport!! What kind of wetsuit is that? THX FOR GIVING ME A GREAT IDEA!!! I have so much to learn :)

Great video! What time of year is this?
I had no idea you could spearfish in Saskatchewan. Looks like lots of fun! It’s illegal in Ontario

@@ericferguson9989 pretty good idea
Awesome video, how much is your setup? I would like to get into spear fishing
If a guy was to drive out there from Edmonton Alberta, would you want to go fishing? I've gone a couple times but next find the right Lakes
Watch for the giant 400lb pike k 😂😂
Where did you buy the parts for your speargun?

That’s impressive! I feel like I could make the wooden part, but im not brave enough to make a trigger assembly.
@@aarongibson3740 thanks mate! You can buy them for sure but also there is a whole bunch of videos on TH-cam about how to make your own…
Except... there are NO pike or walley in little raspberry lake in meadowlake provincial park. I call bullshit to you.
