Use the comfort access key by holding lock button down while standing next to the roof, use your hand to lift the roof the same time the car tries to lift and that might get it going for you
also i believe there are a couple sensors on the side of the vert. open the lid and leave it up. do all testing with that first lid up. the lid opening tells you the problem is after that action.
broooi feel your pain, this shit hapnd to me last year and i spent 3 times the cars worth trying to get my roof fixed but nothing worked so i sold it and bought a new one,,, as for th new one i am very careful as to not be moving at all when putting th roof up or down cause wind resistance can fuck up ur roof my guy probably what hpnd to u
Is there any way to retime the top? I know for the e36 auto verts you can hold the button down and what not to retime the top. Hopefully there is something like that for the e92
You can audibly hear the car throw the code after the first time he tried to open the roof with the engine running. That doesn't mean the code is useful in any way, but it is there. My guess would be a sensor failure not working to show the first cover is all the way back or similar. The roof will not try to forcefully open if the cover hasn't (according to sensor) retracted all the way.
@@laykawest8674 nah it’s at the shop getting my SC installation and other goodies done.. just in time for me to come back home and put a few miles on it before winter
hopefully u didnt bump th car even slightly or attempt to remove the roof while u wer busy driving cause tht can skew ur arms,,, might have to perform a roof transplant and get a new roof from an e93 thts being stripped.
so youre losing alot of "power" by going front to front like that. i find in my experience. its better to go nut to butt. my E36 can jump an E90 only from the trunk, not the front posts for some reason
A car is just a car unless it's an E36. lol Seriously though, I don't see the point in getting attached to a car if you know there is going to be a point where you have to sell the car. Cars like an e36 are a bit different in my book because you can sort out an E36 and take it to the grave with you.
“ that’s yo daddy boy “ 😂😂😂😂😂 never change bro shit mad me drop my food

Hope you can fix it and enjoy it more. Love my e93

Back I went through a issue my top but my issue was one of my wires got clipped while closing I ended up having a electrician repair the wire
I had this issue and I changed the hydraulic pump, fixed it right away
get someone that can pull up any faults? possible pump. Maybe a battery? battery not pulling enough power....

I feel like the cloth top on my e64 M6 is gonna be ok for at least this coming summer. Gonna sell in August tho.
I’m surprised these cars don’t throw codes when something goes wrong with the top

Don’t they have specific dealer codes for the chassis?
It's the switch sensor there are loads of microswitch one will be broke
Did you check the trunk shocks? I had an issue where mine would need a nudge to finish the cycle of closing, and it turned out to be trunk shocks.
This happen to my e36, it turns out that the motor was miss aligned
Let it sit. its gaining value!
Any luck with getting the top up?
I haven’t drove my M3 since April 2022. But I’m overseas lol
