King David had his soldier, Uriah, killed in battle by having him moved to the front of the line where the battle was most intense. He did it because he slept with his wife. He told Uriah to take a break from fighting and spend time with his wife. Uriah would not because he felt bad that his men could not do the same. So, you get the picture. Anyway, King David’s best friend was Johnathan, the son of his enemy. They remained best friends until Johnathan died. Sorry this is so long, but the stories of King David are my favorite.
Interestingly, Solomon then proceeded to wed a vast number of wives, so David was literally the father of a man who banged a lot of chicks and ended up being destroyed by this.
In his defense, he didn't know Bathsheba was Uriah's wife when he saw her and got his Kingly Boner. And he was at war and Uriahs was his top soldier. Sending him on a suicide mission was something he had done on more than one occasion, this was just a specified "suicide mission". The King himself was a suicide mission kind of guy and it was a point of pride to be sent on sucha mission at the time. Satan situated the balconies so he saw them titties and that booty and had to send his friend to die. It is even in the subtext when you read the story. Such good reading. She was taken by the same spirit of rebellion. Who are most of the Psalms about? What famous musician, poet, king was that again? Men were Men, Women were Women and Donkeys made things clear to Prophets! I love the BIble. Jacob becomes Israel and he is a heel grabbing usurper! Soap opera's got nothing on scripture! Nothing new under the Sun! Imagine trading your Birth right for bean. Sounds like something GOVT would do.....Nothing New!
Maybe being anointed and destroying Goliath might go to some ones head. Think of how sports figures behave from a touchdown or a slam dunk. When the prophet came no one would have imagined he was there for David. Their jaws dropped when dude was anointed. The little musical dreamer that we have watch the sheep? You must be joking. He was spoiling to take on Goliath. We are not to have Heroes, but in the classical mythical sense David was a Hero. He gave himself to God totally. He was made of flesh, and until Christ, the true understanding of the flesh was not gleaned. Humans were more subject as they had no true warning other than "The Law". Christ made it plain. To have God on earth just speak the truth instead of through a prophet is a miracle. First and Second Samuel are awesome! Kings is awesome! Judges again is awesome! Forget Netflix! Read Judges!
@@Amornick21 I'm a nativeArabic speaker and in my language it just means what it means. "Beelzebub" is made up of two Arabic words: Bey (lord) El Zebub (the flies). In Arabic article "the" conjoins into its subject words, so "the flies" counts as just one word. We don't actually use this name in Arabic but if I were to write it out it would be "بي الذباب"
@@Zietoun i speak a little arabic to and i can assure you it is not arabic. And your lack of knoweldge surrounding arabic is astonishing. Bey is not an arabic word first off, it is a turkish word (very obvious so). second that is not the etomlogy of the word beelzebub. the Beel part toward the beginning comes form caanite/punic Baal. There are only a fuck ton of loan words from hebrew/aramaic in Arabic, mostly words that have to do with relgion. So don't lie
Actually Beelzebub is in Hebrew - Ba'al Zvuv(בעל זבוב) - meaning Owner of Flies - and as you said two words - Ba'al(Owner i.e Lord) and Zvuv(fly). Nothing to do with Arabic really, the name originated in the Hebrew old testament. It is just that semetic languages are similar. In the old testament, Ba'al Zvuv was the city god of Ekron. Just like Mammon is in Hebrew, Mammon(ממון) means wealth, and a source of money. Asmodeus is Ashmedai(אשמדאי) which comes from the Hebrew root ש.מ.ד meaning destruction. Leviathan is whale in Hebrew (לויתן) Satan(שטן) comes from the Hebrew root ש.ט.ה meaning stray - someone who strays from the correct path. and Belphegor is Ba'al Pa'ur(בעל פעור) - meaning Owner (i.e Lord like Ba'al Zvuv) of the gap.
The concept of Lucifer and Satan being different beings is something I always had thoughts about but never had any outside sources tell me such things. Interesting to say the least. Good work on this video.
@@satan1854 I have a question Mr... *breaths heavily* 1. Is hell under earth? 2. Can you move things on earth? 3. How did u became evil? There is no backstory of u, unlike lucifer.... 4. Were u an angel before? 5. How did the 7 deadly sins created? 6. What is the difference between ghost, evil spirit, the devil, demon?
Here in Germany there is an old fashioned way of referring to money or wealth as "Mammon" when it is used in a negative context like doing reprehensible things for money. It is not really used anymore these days.
We also have that in Finnish, where we have the saying "mainetta ja mammonaa", which usually translates to "Fame and fortune". In Finnish the word is more often used to describe a very large amount of wealth one has accumulated one way or another, regardless if it's negative or positive.
I wonder as far back in history of mythology and folklore that existed on earth, who or what was the very first recorded depiction of a demon or a devil?
An angry man or woman that received the first shit post, via village gossip and woo rituals. Refer to witchcraft fear mongering by the church, or Facebook, news... it’s easier to join in and hate somebody/something that they do not know/understand. It takes less effort to believe a lie, than it does to search for the truth.
Would love to see biblical angels discussed along with the heavenly hosts. You'd thing demons are horrifying but biblical angel's can be terrifying too and how they closely resemble each other
In the older scriptures and references, Angels were "THE warriors and protectors of Heaven working and fighting in God's name"... Let us not forget that human civilization was relatively primitive and that it was fashionable to respect "might" over all else. They had to be fierce to be respectable... and that invariably includes a certain aspect of "terrifying". It's also worth note, somewhere, that not necessarily all demons are specifically fallen angels, nor necessarily the sons or daughters of angels. Hell existed before Lucifer and others were cast out of Heaven... Stands to reason (even if not specified in the scripture we know) that God created Hell about the same as Heaven and Earth. It simply wasn't so important before the "Original Sin". Thereby, there would be demons developed (or developing) as the Keepers and inhabitants of Hell. They'd be tasked rather like the jailers or guards in a prison... to keep souls of evil, and fallen angels, and any others who were sent into perdition in Hell... To torment them as punishment for their sins, until they repent of their sins and seek forgiveness (depending on the particular scripture or reference you choose)... How exactly you wish to interpret this idea is up to you, of course. ;o)
Because it’s the same astrological story told metaphorically by many cultures over many many years. Seven churches, seven days of the week, the seven trumpets and so on are all representations of: Sun, Mercury, Venus, Moon, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn
Just goes to show You that even back then leaders, figureheads, People Who Gain or are in positions of power, no matter the form....only want to hear what they want to hear. It’s a Very saddening, heartbreaking & very scary reality that has repeated itself over & over again, really. You’d think Humanity would Have learned it’s lesson after thousands apon thousands of Years. :’C
Reminds me of a story someone told me: this guys manservant was extolling the prowess of torturers and sadists in getting information from witches, so he decided to teach the cunt a lesson. “Alright then,” he says, “Well, we’re gonna torture you, and it’s gonna turn out that you’re a witch, and the bishop, and the mayor, and the king. You’re gonna tell us all this” And he did, too. Poor bastard confessed to the eruption of Vesuvius by the time they were done with him.
As a kpop stan myself, I'm neither angry nor disagreeing 😂 Stan Lucifer for clear skin ! I'd stan/read the hell out of a hellish Kpop group/fanfiction. Dreamcatcher does heavy metal with a horror concept but they haven't talked about demons yet.
@@ZephLodwick And he is GLORIOUS!! Seriously I've had that song stuck in my head for almost a week now. "Give me a thrust! Yeah show me some lust! From the groin to the bust, in desire we trust, in the house of Asmodeus!"
Asmadeus’ appearance has many similarities to Pan’s. Considering Pan’s connection to fertility, it doesn’t seem a stretch to think he inspired Asmadeus.
well it's within a spiritual/philosophical context so the question of 'how we ought to conduct ourselves in life' is central. I think the half animal image emphasizes the animalistic 'lesser' aspect of man and how Asmadeus is a symbol of a man whose life is in ultimate service of indulging his animalistic instincts.
@My name is Nyeff well yeah. 'sin' is an old archery term that means to 'miss the mark'. also living in service of the good directly conflicts with living in service of indulging your animal instincts. you can't serve two masters. etc.
Whimsy It’s a good theory but it could also apply to Pan. Early Christians had the habit of taking other religions’ symbols and making them the symbol of evil (see also Poseidon’s trident). That both Pan and Asmadeus are half animal isn’t that big of a coincidence, but they both have goat halves and only Pan has a connection to that specific animal.
I believe that Satan was once Lucifer. When he fell from Heaven he was stripped of his Beauty in an effort to check his ego. I think that’s actually canon but maybe not, it has been a long time since catholic school.
@Toasty boi - some say hes the same being, others say their different. The church will have different opinions bruv. In some lucifer wasn't even his real name. He have himself that name
I always found Beezlebub to actually be more relative to Samael and some would argue the two entirely seperate as Lucifer is defined as the lightbringer in his days before the "fall", Samael on the other hand is also a leader of the Heavenly host in Judaism as the Angel of Death. Both names are entirely different and neither can be translated across languages except for the term Satan which means adversary or venom of God which is more of a title than a name. Some philosophers believe that Samael is actually the Demiurge of Christian philosophy , but my theory is he is the opposite, and in Judaism there exist 7 named angels in the upper hierarchy all of which are recognized as world making gods, the chief of the angels Samael the Angel of Death protested the creation of man. References in Psalm 82 its right there out in front Christians don't worship a monotheistic god because your faith never had one it was completely manufactured information the bible mentions many and god (unamed) is god of gods. Lucifer is one of the 7 but he isn't Satan but Samael/Beezlebub/Baal is and I believe that Lucifer was actually responsible for the creation story as described as a literal sun god it doesn't seem the nature of a benevolent god that brings life to the universe to want to destroy it or damn it. if you were forced to endure hell for your sins it would be that the angel of death doesn't ferry your soul to the afterlife and you have to endure purgatory endlessly.
Mammon used to pay attention to golden roads instead of God. Asmodeus was a Cherub named Asmodel before Archangel Raphael tore off his lion and Eagle head and cast him out of Heaven. Belphegor was a fallen principality who was cast out for not fighting God nor Lucifer, as he picked no sides, he was against God since he wasn't with him. So bro was kicked for being afk.
It looks like ideas and art and not concrete facts or evidence. Salvation and eternal life I often am reminded of 'if something seems too good to be true..... '

For me, learning about the angels, the demons, the watchers, etc is easier to grasp than reading the religious texts in their entirety... I can "read between the lines" when it comes to relating The characters in scripture to everyday struggles... I like learning about all the different characters from all the different texts which confuses most as because of that I no longer fit my beliefs into one single category, I believe bits and pieces from all of religions and I don't understand why it's so hard for them all to get along when they're just all reading from the same book so to speak

And Sometimes Baal Was The One Who Was Marked As The Fallen Angel And A Demon, Rather Than Being Called An Old Pagan Deity. Btw, In What Anime Did You See Him?
@@thatnhoxiu just incorporation into religion. Demon comes from the greek word: daemon, which means god. Demons' lores in Christianity is based on fallen angels. These angels were deified back then. Minor gods who only answer to the king of gods, which would replace polytheism by making the king of gods as the one true god. In judaism, The One True God didn't come until closer to Christianity's time. For majority of Judaism, God means the entire pantheon, rather than one being. If we were to use a mythos, it'd be like saying Olympus rather than Zeus when God is being talked about as sometimes God is depicted as many. Soon, especially from Christianity and onwards, God will be of one being. Much like how Zeus is the king of Olympus. Then Catholic Christianity divides God back back into 2: good and bad (God and The Devil). In reality, the stories of angels and demons are based off of pantheons accepted into the religion. This is typically based on the local peoples and the result of their presence in that region. Fallen civilizations, those whom have lost the religion wars, will have their pantheons demonized. Thus, fallen angels. In Christianity, we see a lot of pagan religion incorporated into it. Things like Easter and Christmas arent Christian holidays but rather pagan ones (i believe germanic and arabic rooted, respectively). This is like the stories of Devas (Suras) and Asuras. All deities, possibly equal to one another (like Zeus is to Jupiter) and simply the proxy war dictated on who will be in the ruling pantheon. Ultimately, they are all one of the same god. Its just their depiction differ only by name, like Zeus (Greek) and Jupiter (Roman). An example of this is Samael and Lucifer. Samael is an archangel but when a war broke out and he lost, he was demonized into Lucifer. This is similar to the Nordic pantheons. However, theirs is a bit less gods but closer to humans. Aesir and Vanir joining together in holy matrimony and becoming the rulers of the realms. This is why, when discussing lores in religion, it gets confusing. Like, how are archangels be the greatest in lore then the Ophanim, Seraphim, etc are greater than them and archangels are actually one of the lowest ranking. So itd actually be like Primodial > Titan > Deities > Giants > Humans (if we take Greek ruling pantheons throughout history)
I've heard of 7, 9, and 12 princes/kings/rulers of hell. I was hoping this list would include King Paimon. I think I spelled that right, maybe not I'll search for him later

"Beelzebub" is Arabic. It literally translates to "Lord of the Flies."
Well Christianity is a middle eastern religion so...
i think you mean Aramaic
Leviathan is whale in Hebrew (לויתן)
Satan(שטן) comes from the Hebrew root ש.ט.ה meaning stray - someone who strays from the correct path.
and Belphegor is Ba'al Pa'ur(בעל פעור) - meaning Owner (i.e Lord like Ba'al Zvuv) of the gap.

Here in Germany there is an old fashioned way of referring to money or wealth as "Mammon" when it is used in a negative context like doing reprehensible things for money. It is not really used anymore these days.

@Grey World ....just read the bible bro. You'll learn way more than you think
Would love to see biblical angels discussed along with the heavenly hosts. You'd thing demons are horrifying but biblical angel's can be terrifying too and how they closely resemble each other
well demons ARE fallen angels after all.
They are the same, and if not, they are the sons of fallen angels. So...
How exactly you wish to interpret this idea is up to you, of course. ;o)
you tube ad is the 8th demon
Because it’s the same astrological story told metaphorically by many cultures over many many years. Seven churches, seven days of the week, the seven trumpets and so on are all representations of: Sun, Mercury, Venus, Moon, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn

Ive never seen such incorrect word vomit. Do you know what a sentence is?
If you did individual tales on each of these, that would be amazing! Would love to know more about Mammon, Asmodeus and Belphegor!
Its looks like Lucifer and his officers carried out a coup against Lord God, but they failed and got exiled to Earth.
