Cecilia, Have you considered using still shots from each season to create a calendar of Svalbard scenes for each year? You already have so much incredible footage. That would be an amazing item for your store that viewers will enjoy and use.

I literally did the same with my 3 week old baby boy lol. The pain was so bad I couldn’t watch anything after a while, but Cecilia’s videos were a great comfort before that while in the hospital! Congrats on your baby!

I always advocate for Christianity and Islam and the benefit of religion in society but many people hate us because there's always these online bots as well as ignorant blind people and people who try to reinterpret faith to misuse it. 16:52 My family and I took a cruise to Alaska in September of 2022. A lot had changed in my life and I was dealing with a lot of stresses, yet being out on the water sailing through the fjords... I'd never felt more at peace. At one point in the trip I just sat alone on one of the decks overlooking the scenery and just had a good long cry. It felt nice to just sit and let the weight fall off my shoulders and into the water. I imagine that visiting Svalbard would make me feel very much the same way. The northern lights of polar winter, the tinges of pink from the first rays of sun, the bright golds and oranges and reds of autumn... Thank you for sharing a piece of your heaven with us.

Growing up as a child we are reminded to respect Mother Nature and be thankful for what SHE has given us. You, Christoffer and Grim are the envy of everyone, living where you do and reaping the rewards. This view throughout the yearly months was absolutely breathtaking. Thank you so much.

I love how perfectly matched cecilia and christoffer is despite the differences like cecilia is a very bright and energetic woman but loves the dark polar nights while christoffer is usually calm and very chill but is thriving during the polar day. Both are contradicting but it's what probably makes them complete with each other haha

I wanted to come back to this video and share my takeaway from watching your year for the past year. This was my favorite video of all. One day of sub changes for us is an entire year of sun change for you. That was amazing. But in a personal level, polar night has come to have deep meaning for me. I'm a music director and housekeeper to make a living. In October I suffered a back injury that has gone on for four months now. 2 herniated discs and degenerative disc stuff. My life style for the past 5 years has been near constant work since I left an abusive marriage of 27 years and have needed to survive all on my own. You have helped me find that elusive "self care" that has been devoid in my world for so long through coming to learn about polar night. Your videos have bled into my well being in a much unexpected way. Much of my physical work slowed by December and I've been uncharacteristically off. We've had several boughts of inclement weather. It's been involuntary down time. In order to deal with this, I began to draw on your experience of polar night, to accept that you will be more tired, to acceor some inability to do some things. I began to create this cozy lit, candled space in my bedroom where I was up in pain so many nights at 3am. I made warm and cozy out of darkness of many varieties by watching your videos, and I love that I have these new thoughts and understandings in me now that can helo nourish me through this time if healing and rest.
I am a winter girl, too. Hot days are terrible for me. I should live in the northermost place on earth!. But as an Italian I have to endure long hot summers and now winters with little snow! Fantastic video, as usual. The Svalbards are a paradise and Grim is so cute.

I live in the Caribbean and we have traveled a good bit over the years (we are very blessed to have had this opportunity)...seen many seasons and snow storms(last one was just December past)...and for me sunshine is life.....I can't live without it...but I guess that's what I grew up with and that's what I love....just like how u love polar night....I love our Caribbean weather and a sunset in my front patio brings me peace as I would imagine golden hour on your deck brings you happiness . Can you go around and interview the locals and local businesses so we can see who they are, how they ended up there, how they feel owning a business there etc. I would be especially interested in teachers, bakeries, tour guides, etc. Who is the oldest person there, I assume there are no care homes? Do many people have extended family there? Are their midwives? How do people date? Are some people seasonal? Does anyone have neat polar bear encounter stories? What are the most common activities, sports etc

I can’t believe that having booked a holiday to Spitsbergen over 12 months ago we have finally arrived here in Longyearbyen yesterday. Having watched many of your videos Cecilia it felt so strange to walk into the clothes shop that I have seen you work in. The dog sleigh excursion today with Green Dog this morning was fascinating. Living in the UK 24 hrs of darkness is a once in a lifetime experience just had to do. Electric snow mobile tomorrow loving Norway and Longyearbyen.
