It was one of most important point to visit Rototom 2019. Unfortunelly i was very tired at that moment , just kept in mind - stand while HIH stand. Also House of Rastafari seemed especially inspired at this meeting with chanting . But in general i slept at that meeting and wake up only while applouds and chanting. Sad but true. Please, apologize i. It was interesting to trace HIH activity to wash out some backbiting and lie of Richard Kapuscinskiy. Just a comment - it never was recognized in Soviet Union as histirical work, it allways was recognized as "5 minutes speculation political pamphlet" . In Soviet historiography HIM mainly recognized as non collabrationist figting against first wave of fascism epidemy. And later - it was said a lot that Mengistu is not marxist - he was just a tribalist . And all modern things we see now in Ethiopia - it is closer to tribal compretition than to ideology antagonism. Anyhow , for me it was one of most important meeting in i life despite my fail. i still apologize.
Mengistu may have had his tribal grief, but no, his revolution was inspired and supported mostly by Marxist ideology and those that were exporting it at the time. It was spreading in many places, particularly among students. But there is also no doubt that there were numerous factors and factions that played a part in creating the scenario for HIM to be removed from the World Scene....just like we see such global media campaigns taking place whenever some "big guys" want to pull a stunt...as with the removal of numerous African leaders...and right now for some devious and dark agenda, but, as always, in the name of saving people from something or someone... But truly, respect due for pointing out the need to scrub a whole lot more on the stains left by the propaganda from that time, that still echo to this day..!!
