Kodak was attached emotionally with their products bcoz they were inventor of them and they couldn't digest fast change in the product and they couldn't believe that the product will go digital. They were just hoping that digital idea shouldn't work and people would come back to their products

1: it did not move into the digital world well enough and fast enough
2: it had Not Given Any Importance to the Innovaters(and their ideas) in company about the changing market in future.
3: Instead of Leading and Finding New path of thier own they wasted time on competition with others.
4:these Type of companies are built on a culture of innovation and change. ....Which was neglected by kodak ..which was main reason for failure.
5: One more Thing I have really Great Old memories with Those kodak cameras and kodak photos still preserve with me. :))

If kodak was unsure about digital cameras, it should have atleast given it a small try at a small scale by using prototype cameras. They could have identified the flaws and strengths of digital cameras.

Thanks for sharing the analysis. I had read Kodak story long back, wherein one of the reason of failure was mobile cameras. Yes, agree with you that led to decrease in sales. As per me, why Kodak failed was they were not ready to loose current profits to gain future profits!, as the digital camera could have raised internal competition of products.
Mobile cameras are not main reason, even now in the era of 25mp mobile cameras canon Nikon Sony and lumix doing very well. Kodak failed due to not adopting a rapid change in technology.
