Everyone I know who ground it out, myself included, did it mostly in high tier sim matches. It was still a bit of a grind but a LOT faster than trying to grind it in realistic. Arcade can actually work pretty well if you have a good top tier lineup, I played some top tier arcade matches that were 10 minutes long and i'd come out of it with 5000+ points. Admittedly, I can't stand to play the game for long a duration at a time, so my "grind" is pretty lazy and I still managed to get it. I'm sure there were a lot of people GE grinding their way through the stages as well though, but that happens with pretty much any event vehicle that has decent demand.
Loved sim with headtracking, recently gave VR a go with the Q3, finding it hard to go back to headtracking. Nothing feels better than being in my J7E's cockpit, deep in a dogfight
Agreed. I just got a Quest 3 for the kids a week ago and I play VTOL VR and WT Sim with it. Without it in props I would lose people all the time against the ground. I do have some issues with seat being too high sometimes, and that is where I like VTOL a bit more. DCS is if I could spend 15 minutes on start up, which I don't normally.
It's a good jet especially if you don't have high level USA except premiums, I got top-tier in ussr and the f14 is a good time for me when I grind America

I have been looking into a mixed mode mod so I can see my keys cause my HOTAS is cheap, and even if it was a full solution I couldn't see it. The day they bake it in native and I can just flip switches and press buttons is the day I will move 100% to sim.
What's a good, easier, plane to learn sim with? I have the German line grinded out to top tier and British, Swedish, and Japanese props. I already had a VR headset and bought a cheaper hotas to try out WT sim and other flight sims, but I'm having a hard time aiming. It's not my actual aim that's the issue (mostly), it's just that it's difficult to keep the nose steady. I actually played some IL-2 and it was a lot easier there for whatever reason, I guess it's just how the flight models are set up.
idk about the DPVRE4 while im sure its a good headset, for the price a q3 is also standalone and has a slightly higher ppd not to mention alot more aftermarket support.

Early F-14 don't have launch warning against newer radar sets, all they get to work with is solid tone coming from "?" on RWR. SPO-15 is a fossil, but at least have launch warning, so you can start defending against incoming ARH.
US is gaijins golden child. Iranian F14 is 6th jet with fox-3 missiles, now they added a jet with hmd, maw with shitton of missiles and freaking 9Ms to face jets without flares. While there are nations like Israel which didn't even have tws at top tier.

The missiles were also more powerful until it got nerfed. And even when mig 29 came, they took R73 of it, cause us players began to cry on forum. Phantoms were also quite powerful even without all aspect missiles, they still were getting a better radar, and more missiles.
F-14AM should have only Aim-7E-2 and R-27T should be good because with Fakour 90 and Sedjil it already outclass any BVR in the game, including SU-27, F-15 and even MIG-29SMT.

I thought i was going insane from how little progress i get from hours of good games and wondered how so many people got it
Everyone I know who ground it out, myself included, did it mostly in high tier sim matches. It was still a bit of a grind but a LOT faster than trying to grind it in realistic. Should try the Yak-141 same br as the mig-29 with a better radar and trades 4 r60m's for 2 R27R/R27Ts also gets acess to R27et's

they seem to be very adept at launching and either doing nothing or notching your missile perfectly
