Thanks for the awesome review, Tom ! We're delighted you enjoyed all the intricacies and possibilities of this unique game. Your Live Play with Roy, Mike was a blast to watch, too =)
I have to say that this is currently my favorite game of 2021, and the year is half done. Incredibly innovative and fresh with fantastic artwork. Tense moments and lots of ways to outplay others
Thanks, Tom and the Dice Tower great review. And yes people should watch the playthrough. It's one of those games you have to see played to get it. Again thanks Dice Tower.
bought this after the live playthrough. I think it's really neat, although tough for some to wrap their mind around on the first play. I thought the production was really good for a $20 game, although the cover could've been better.
Bought this right after watching this! Cost me 40 Canadian, but will be here in 10 days. My family will love this one...and I really like the cover. Oh well, to each their own.
@@Naomania definitely jump on it when it becomes available it really is a fun game. I’m going to do a review on it too to hopefully bring more attention to it
Take 2 or 3 Victory Point Chips and put them at the end of the board, counting them as additional spaces on the Shadow Pawn Path and let the Shadow Pawn start there. This should do it!
I bought this game, but think it is broken. The shadow always wins. Well, that's my experience after 6 games with 4 players. On the 6th round, the shadow just laughed at the beginning and still could not be defeated. I thought perhaps we were playing it wrong, but we are not. I looked at the BGG page for Shamans and see that a lot of people also think it is broken. Super disappointing after this positive review.
This is NOT at all a trick-taking game. Starting a teach by saying it is like Hearts or Spades may be confusing. The only similarity is having a lead suit. The rules need to be spelled out, as they are.

I absolutely love this game's aesthetic, to me it's utterly beautiful. I find it hilarious that Tom is like "meh" about it :D To each their own!
I agree. The art and presentation is stunning. The gameplay however... Ehhhhh
Ordered this immediately after watching you guys play it. Showed it to a few friends and family, many of them bought themselves a copy as well.
I watched the dice tower live playthroughs and absolutely fell in love. This really seems like a must-get for me and my family.

The art on the cards looks great to me.
For info, it should be available in the UK end of May/beginning June !
It seems like it answers the question: What if the crew was build around a traitor mechanic?
the "shamans" title may not be the same when you turn it upside down, but it is if you put it in front of a mirror :O
like a palindrome?

Personally I love the cover. I think this game is stunning art wise.

A hidden Gem!
Anyone with cards number and size for sleeving? I hate to do this question but there's still not info about this out there :P Thanks
They are poker-sized (63*88mm) and there are 61 cards (5 Role cards + 56 World cards) alltogether =)
Hello, did anyone found out how to balance 5 player game ? We played like 10 rounds and shamans werent even close to win :(

Annnd... I'm still not interested in this game.
Too bad, it's really good!
@@thedicetower - I will play it, given a chance. I would not buy it without trying it first.
You post a lot of negative comments here 🤣
