This looks great. I’ve been looking for some planty art so if I can find the right leaf I’ll definitely give it a go.

Oo yay!!! It’s such a fiddly but fun process, it’s definitely one for patience, from the letting it sit in water to the removing of the pulpy stuff it’s a lot of patience but worth in in my opinion for the end result 😍 can’t wait for you to give it a go!

Hi Amy, I am A new friend of your channel 😊😊 I think making the skeleton of plants leaf is tough? I have anthuriums, will definitely try this out ! Thanks

Hi! Welcome, I’m so pleased you’re here 🥰 it’s definitely a task that requires patience and a steady gentle hand but it’s worth it for sure 🖤 I’ve found some leaves are easier than others, it’s all trial and error. Anthuriums have been my favourite to work with so far 🥰

interesting process and vid! how long do these "keep" once framed? curious if there's any reason to try to spray / seal them or preserve them to make the finished product last longer ? thanks!

Hiya! Great question! I haven’t actually ever sealed them or sprayed anything on them. The longest I’ve had one framed is over 2 years I believe, i supposed it’s protected by the glass maybe? But I’ve also got a leaf skeleton pinned to a pinboard that’s just out in the open 🙈 so I don’t think it’s a necessary step! But I have seen some people spray paint them black and place them on a white background and that looks very cool!

Hahaha!! Yes! When I first found out about this project I wanted to do the exact same 😂 but if you’re in the northern hemisphere I’m sure some leaves will die off naturally as we hit winter 👀😅
