I recently found a Patagonia top brand new for $8! Tags on and everything! Goodwill messed up that day, I practically stole that shirt lol....Just to clarify, I did in fact pay for it haha
i learned for measuring the waist you can take a pair of pants, wrap the waist part of the pants around your neck. if it is too night on your neck it will be too tight on your waist. if it is too loose then it will be loose on your waist. pretty cool concept!

My suggestion is to go to a thrift store in a nice area. My town had a Jones of New York silk short sleeve sweater at the Salvation Army store for $1!!!
My entire closet is thrifted thanks to the 6 years I lived in NYC. Sooo many incredible finds there. From Roger Vivier flats to Miu Miu blouses. Lots of Theory, Vince, and Sandro too.

Trying to get back into the habit of thrifting, and I want to learn how to make my own clothes. I don't want dress like a carbon copy of someone else, trying to find my style. These are great hacks! I guess thrift store in Canada are a different breed. The stores here like Goodwill and Salvation Army are not into sponsorship, they are charity shops. You always find some excellent items on your thrift trips, it good that you sharing shopping tips that you used and what you observe other used to be more successful in scoring the prime stuff. I wonder if you could start a 'thrift with me' geared towards thrifting with subscribers or your friends for particular events etc. Obviously you may need to go to multiple shops or do it over a few days or something but I think it would be fun to watch someone find an amazing outfit and maybe even learn the history of the brand

The day I started shopping in the mens section was the day my thrifting game changed. I hardly ever buy women's jackets anymore especially!

I carry a tape measure with me so i can be sure the pants are long enough. It's also good to check for the waist size.
Your awesome. I started doing that with my kid's. The tags and looks can be deceiving. It save alot of time for me.
