Top of the morning to you, Mr. Ondra. Do you have an opinion on Terranova being quite possibly 9A, now that there is a lot more data to establish a consensus on the felt difficulty of the V17 grade?
Hears about a V17 boulder, walks up there by himself with a tripod, does it, posts it. What a lad. I'm not against climbing films but I'd much rather have this very genuine recounting of events than waiting 8 months for a boulder
ehh i think with first ascents its a lot nicer to wait and have something proper made of it. especially with this line, its more than just a hard ascent for aidan and so for it t just be posted as the send footage alone doesnt do the process of developing a line and projecting for months the justice it deserves. but yeah not everyone is like that and will didnt take too long on this one so it makes sense he didnt need a whole film since the process seemed pretty straight forward for him haha
@@HourRomanticist yeah, he didn't even finish that it was like hanging like if it was nothing with a single hand. And you look at him, and you think he is a nerd who spent his time playing DOTA, instead he is a powerhouse with iron fingers!
Big ups to the film maker and editor. Some of these shots and cinematography are truly mind-blowing. So beautiful to see such boundary pushing artistry in my sport
@@chrissmithdoe2100 terranova is a v16, so if it were to be upgraded it would likely be v17. But even if it was already a v17 and Bosi upgraded it, Adam Ondra would have been the first to send v18
No way. He keeps repeating other climbers' V17s, it is a whole other process to establish one. I dont think that he ll do it. Maybe he will repeat the V18 when it gets established but we are far from it so i doubt that as well.
I can't even imagine how tiny is the 4th hold (second move), looks insanely hard, congrats! And applause for Aidan Roberts for open this line. I think most difficult than send a hard line, it is to find it, clean it, and working on it, without knowing it is possible or not. Mind blowing!
Will is one the best ambassador for our sport. As happy falling of as ticking, no screaming or swearing, no nasty music blasting out, just doing his thing. Nice one lad, on to the next ✊
I think the most impressive part of this send is doing it so controlled that he was virtually silent the entire time until he said "what?" while one hand hanging from a sloper at the finish. Bosi is different haha
Many people don't enjoy what they do at the time. Will does and it's inspiring and joyful. When you fall off your local project for the umpteenth time, please remember Will's smile and psych, and get back on.
Phenomenal achievement, Will. This gave me so much joy to watch...your reaction at the end really was really heartwarming. I have to say, it is so refreshing to be brought along for your (frankly, unbelievable) tour of the world's hardest boulders in this unique, almost 'real-time' fashion. I see a lot of comments about this approach to releasing content...it's a little rawer, there's no crazy production process, allowing it to be much faster. Actually, I think you and Teresa have done a great job with the filming and editing: it's super effective, and is a great combination of a raw, uncut ascent with more context (including shots of the beautiful surroundings). Most important, it allows us to share in your excitement in (almost) real-time, which counts for a lot. It makes all of this feel far more real than those (admittedly quite enjoyable) highly produced, long-form videos. Thank you! So...ignore the haters, and keep crushing. :) P.S.: Mad props to Aidan for the FA!
Whenever I feel I have had enough of parts of humanity and the crap in the world going on, it's reassuring for me to see a new Will Bosi upload and the enthusiasm, joy and smiling usually sorts me out... :)
Honey badger was a FA, so it’s gonna take a bit longer. And he placed burden and alphane above it when talking about it. I could see terra nova being 9a or even 9a+ though
Fantastic send. And the look of disbelief whilst sitting atop is just wonderful. Almost like you wish someone was there to see it too and celebrate with LOL
Lets goooooo 🔥🔥🔥 love watching you climb, especially cos everything seems like such a joy for you, even the struggle (even though you somehow ended up making look effortless 😂😂😂😂)
He is by far the best boulder in the world. The lo fi quality. Doesn’t give a fuck. Just there to send hard. Can’t wait for him to make history sending the first v18
Congratulations Will! Those closeups on the holds in the beginning are Primo, I feel like every send vid should have that. This footage does not show how overhung that boulder really is very well lol that thing is Insane.
Was losing motivation with climbing but it all came back after seeing this absolutely cracked performance. Cheers on another world-class assent, Will! 🎉
Love that style of filming at the start, showing close ups of all the holds. Massive congrats on another awesome send, love how happy you looked having done it.

Lol, at this point V17 is so chill for Will that he doesn't even bother with a production crew. Just some casual phone footage.
I’d rather watch this than some bullshit, long, milked bouldering movie
@@TheOnlyWayUp-iv8gr we already got the "nice version" from the FA. And that was one of the best bouldering videos in a long time.
I know people often say _"they made it look casual"_ when a send is really clean - but Will unironically made this look like a chill warm-up boulder
@@ondrejnevelik7338yep I actually enjoyed that film very much. Aidan is a cool cat.
