I love it. Fight fair? F I mean DUCK NO! Fight dirty, screw the rules! LOL! Old age and treachery will overcome youth and skill every time. You NEVER underestimate an old warrior as HE knows there are no rules in battle, you live or die.
Well, there are rules in combat almost always no matter the faction you're with. Many of them do make sense like avoiding harming and killing civilians whenever possible. Then there's rules that make no sense and makes sense to bend or break them. Especially in strict top down comand structures like with Russia and Principality has where orders are given leave little room to adjust to changes in the battlefield. The experience soldier knows when and where to follow the rules and when to bend or break them.
@@Soundwave119 - Yes, there are rules, that digress to guidelines on the field. I have spoken to a few vets, some had deep reservations to the point of tears after WW2 encounters where after Japanese soldiers surrendered only to get close enough to pull the pins on grenades. So he, and the other soldiers were on edge, and he recounted a few incidents where they seemed odd, made a fast movement, if failed to follow instructions and someone started shooting, followed by everyone else, then distancing themselves to get out of grenades range. Later discovering the surrendering soldiers had none. They recounted other stories, laying traps, ambushes, and essentially killing groups because one looked like a soldier. One of my veteran neighbors, them 85, was leaving when a young man entered the garage with a gun. The old guy beat him, and shot him with his own gun, (the thief lived) and when police got there played it down like it was nothing. I didn’t see it, but saw the garage afterwards, my neighbor shoved him into anything sharp he could, tools hanging on the wall, now on the floor showed blood on them, and several other places. So, yeah, never ever ever EVER underestimate an old soldier in any situation. He survived because he lived and others didn’t.
@@Soundwave119 - I would add that I also knew a Vietnam vet whose role was to be dropped off at night deep in enemy territory, then through stealth and cunning, plus will power and training, create as much havoc and terminate as many enemy as he could on the way back home. Got drunk with him, and his stories would scare the living 💩 out of you. In a real fight, a real battle, in the heat of the moment rules are forgotten. And he too had regrets, as he admitted to taking the lives of civilians, men, women and children who spotted him and he could not let them tell others.
A fair fight only exists among rules of engagement that all sides can agree upon following and respecting without fail. This is extremely difficult to achieve even among honor duels.
At this rate they won’t even need to defend Woodshaft from boarders lol. Speaking of which, I wonder what there thinking watching this go down? First they witnessed a single friendly fighter murking an entire enemy wedge, now this. Probably never seen a fight like this in their lives.
agreed Wyatt's kill count is getting scary now about two black ships and now this find with the Drazzan. that's one one Destroyer one cruiser and probley over a hundred fighters with the 30 he killed. I'm looking forward to finding out what Clara thinks of this in part 3

The G forces from the maneuvers during his previous dogfight with the 30 drazzan combined with the maneuver he just did in the noirnavio was too much for his body to handle.
Like Jblock said that in the previous part of chapter 15, the extreme maneuvers Wyatt did trying not to get killed screwed him up. He mentioned that if was not for the cybernetic implications, he would have died. Probably from extreme amount of gs and if survived that he would have ended up blacking out and before waking up again the Drazin reinforcements would kill him. Then to make things worse Wyatt didn't get any medical attention before going into the next battle. So in reality it was amazing Wyatt lasted as long as he did do to shear will power and his cybernetic implants.
fantastic story, I'm really into the story our Hero saves the day again, if he is not careful, he will be knighted and he will also have to participate in those idiotic rules.

Wyatt Staples , fighting Ship with a Destroyer as if it were a well armed fighter , and doing so by Proxy rather than Interfaced . Adrenaline is amazing stuff , but it only goes so far too .
Well this was a pleasant surprise to see drop during my lunch. 😊 I was surprised with how well the Raptor starfighter Wyatt used to operate during the fight in the last chapter due to how badly damaged it was. I was shocked how well you hid the extent of the damage of the Raptor. I like how Wyatt has Cynthia to test if they can trust Galt in this emergency situation and Wyatt's judgment of Galt ends up being spot on. I do like how well you show the tungsten will Wyatt has with him hide his serious injuries from everyone. Until his body is done humor him and forces him to go into emergency healing mode. I suspect Wyatt would eventually become the captain of the APN Noir but was totally surprised by him becoming acting captain in this chapter ! I do like how Cynthia uses logic to force Wyatt to take comand. With him being the highest and only loyal navel officer on board . I do love how Wyatt is like WTH at him becomecomanding officer of Noir!?!?!? I do love how Wyatt's mine is like error, error and almost blue screen of death. It's hilarious how Cynthia knows how to push Wyatt's buttons to accept comand by saying his delay may end up having more people killed by the Drazin. Then due to his weakened state unable to hide his desire to exterminate the Drazin. I have a feeling that when Wyatt wakes up he is going to get chewed out by Cynthia and Clara about not warning anyone about his serious wounds and not getting any medical attention.

I do have to say Wyatt Staples is a interesting combination of Victor Cadach and Honor Harrington both characters of David Webers Honor Harrington series. He seems to be has the navy skills of Honor. He is like Victor in the social skills particular blending into a crowd, perfect poker face hiding what he truly feels, ruthlessly efficient in his job and hyper lethal person of Victor. He is like both of these characters in that he is able to survive situations that are like death rides/suicide mission some how despite the it defying reality or certain death !

30 fighters destroyed, check 1 destroyer dis, check 1 cruiser destroyed, check. All for a busted raptor fighter and some ribs and maybe a spleen. In the words of Wind in his hair “ good trade”.
If wyatt had taken command of the noir from the last episode, we would be on chapter 18 by now. He's making quick work out of those drazzens. His capabilities is on par with the royal marines when it comes to space warfare.
So can we assume that Wyatt has balls of Tungsten rather than Steel ? Also I'm going to have a guess and say that the stuff Cynthia injected him with might be some sort of Nanite serum designed to at least stabilise him. that or something similar, perhaps rare and reserved for use on Royalty ? After all Clara instructed Cynthia to keep Wyatt as safe as if he were her

If I was loading that gun , you wouldn't like that mode of buck stuffed in there. It wouldn't be one big brown. It would be one big round full of a bunch of little nuclear arounds , or at least heavy metals.

Will that stupid commander that wanted to kill him for what his dumb brother did get off his back, or just make things worse. He defiantly doesn't seek command, but he is a commander, those are the best commanders. Will the others be pardoned and fall under Wyatt's command. ahh so many what if's, can't wait to see how it goes next.

Wyatt is a warrior at heart. Kirk is a diplomat. Kirk would get diffed.
Kirk would defeat Wyatt by using diplomacy to prevent having to be in a situation where he have to fight Wyatt.
