Second goalie has too much spring in his footwork. He is in the air many times as the ball is being kicked. Would make me nervous as a supporter of his team
Vraiment de ma part c' est une super vidéo moi en regardant je progresse dans le métier être bon gardien de but sa ne cour par la rue ca se prépare j'adore travaillé pour pouvoir un jour atteindre le sommet
Great stuff guys really helps me coach a lot better. ? If volley serve is arriving at speed right or left knee high, is it important for the keeper to get a hip turn with-a shin block
I loved this session, I coach for Southern Arizona Soccer Club here in Tucson and truth be told I work with youth female goalkeepers (06-03) We do a lot of similar work. Do you think that it is okay at that age to be doing drills like this? What do you recommend we focus on?
Absolutely! The drills Todd did, were nothing special or difficult. It's what you demand out of your players. No, they're not going to hold every ball, due to hand size/strength, but have them try as much as possible! Read your session, if they're making to many mistakes or it seems to difficult, change it up. I often change sessions on the fly, if I see something to key in on! Keep it up coach!
Is Omar safe to say that the American goalkeeper trainer prefers training in a closed context (2 or 3 actions in the exercise) than in an open context? I would like to know your opinion and if you are also a defender of that preference. Or do you later let the open context be realized with the team for example reduced games?
I think you are referring to a smother. The basic purpose of the smother is to use the momentum of the low shot and catch it and smother the ball so it doesn't escape
Jack Wilson David is still only 18, so the vibe that I got while watching the session was that Alex was trying to demand more from him to help with his training habits and maturity at that level.
Good sessions by the coach but, how he was saying he's not worried about the whole goal and just that little one really doesn't put the realism in the training other than that quality sessions
I like how the coach lets the athlete have input on how the session moves
This training session it is very clear who is the older and mature one and the younger and more inexperienced keeper
Yeah
Michael Edegbe true

@@JorgeMorgenstern It's the difference between, "hopping", and, "gliding". Their starter has soft feet, fast feet. I agree.
So appreciative of channels like this. I'm self learning how to structure and conduct training sessions and these examples are absolutely the best!
The hands are a thing of beauty
Great training session and something I can take on board in my next coaching session.
Thank you, I will use some of these drills in my next session!
Great stuff as always brother! Absolutely love this!
Nice video! I like to see more high end goalkeeper training even if it is simpler drills.
Another excellent video. Thanks
Great episode! Hoffard is the man!
Coach Jason! I'm a Goalkeeper as well

Can I use it for younger goalkeepers? (U10-u14)
are pro soccer balls rock solid or do they have a little room for air
what 😂
I like you video
Hey I have a long lasting question, why do they collapse when it is a simple reach save?
work on technique
To finish the save and get their full body behind the ball
Follow thru to let the impact of the ball ended by having the best balanced body positioning
Hey omar do you have a course of goalkeeping? I want to do it
Why do you guys fall to the ground in some of the angled central shots and others?

The blonde guy I felt was arrogant toward David
