great post ,thanks for sharing , I ordered the high trail two days ago , gave you a subscription and i look forward to watching more of your channel content ,greetings from Northern Europe ....Harry
Everyone and their momma love square body chevys in merica lol except the ford guys but nobody cares lol jk anyway yes i agree i had low expectations before filming the tests i was like its gonna tip so much but in reality it blew my minds i was very impressed with this rigs performance out of the box i finished filming it and was very happy with the results and that fcx 24 blazer is an excellent performer and for the HT to keep up with it except a couple tips here n there i came out if this review very impressed indeed 👍
Thanks man much appreciated and your welcome both are fantastic little trucks we all know the fms performs amazing but the trx4m high trail really surprised me alot indeed
Thanks swede definitely had a fun day out with these two rigs the trx4m high trail really impressed out of the box for a tall truck it handled very well 👍
Cool man!! I’m trying to decide between these two for my first RC crawler. Leaning towards the FMS Blazer, but I might wait for the FCX18 K10 coming out soon. Cheers!
Id wait they will basically perform the same way just longer wheel base on the k10 it might get hung up more thru the middle but performance should be the same !
Thank brother they are both very solid little rigs more vids to come its needs to go on some trailing adventures with my other minis and it will also will be getting more scale stuff to turn this to the ultimate adventure truck 👍
Nice your definitely stocking up on rigs save some cash for the new fms fcx18 k10 pick up thats coming soon end of the month i heard and then the fms fcx10 blazer shortly after 👍
Great video! Neither of my lhs that are traxxas dealers have this hightrail in black. Im probably going to grab a blue one today myself. I have several black rigs anyways. You have some great crawling spots, i need to get out and find some areas like that!
Yeah the black one is a special edition most hobby shops may not have it but they will all get it eventually 👍and thanks oregon has lots nice areas to crawl or go trailing with little trucks hehe !! I am considering tinting the lights on the high trail to give it that original look !
@@NWrcadventures I ended up going with blue and I like it! I have a feeling they will come out with silver and copper next. It's a great looking rig. The few minutes I spent with it, I was impressed how stable it is without any weight down low. I'm excited to start getting it dialed in!
Nice review 👍🏻 I like the yellowish front lights of the FCX24 more. The ones from the Traxxas look to white and modern. Beside that, the TRX4-M looks great! FCX24 slow crawl seems better, smoother.
Yes you are right the modulation on the fcx is awesome reaso why love it so much u can get awesome modulation from the trx4m ht but you would have to install the low range gears in that case i prefer the trail gears for what i use it for my videos are all adventure trailing videos not so much crawling inolved and im also considering tinting the front light to give it a more period correct look for scale reasons 👍
@@NWrcadventures absolutely you can get that also from a TRX4-M. But the loss of speed is an issue for me. I love both, crawling and trailing. That‘s why I love the two speed gear box of the FCX24 eventough it has to much play in it.
@@stefanhofstetter54 yes its definitely gonna go slower not good for filming content so keep the trail gears on and have the bec on the crawler mode for instant front reverse and break without going to neutral it works for me and yes the fcx 2 speed gots some play but the slow crawl is great !!
Thanks alot man it was a fun day out in nature i was very impressed with the high trail it blew my expectations i could definitely get another one eventually 👍
Great Job, good comparison, beautiful scenery, pretty sure I heard that background music in the 70's, If I remember correctly, I think Ron Jeremy's was the main star.
That comparison was awesome dude 👍 The TRX4M did well considering it is 100% stock and has such a high centre of gravity. What shocks are you running on your FCX24? It rides heaps nicer than my stock FCX24 k5
Very nice video ! Regarding the TRAXXAS and for that matter also the FMS, is it possible to drive in water right out of the box or do I have to have special tires or even to 'clog' the tires like the big TRAXXAS at the 1/10 ? 😀
Thanks my friend much appreciated 👍 to be honest no you dont need to do anything special to the tires or anything you can just run it through water right out of the box my friend you can run both of them through water without changing nothing the FMS has beadlocks so it should be fine and the traxxas has slip on tires so you can remove the tires after use and drain whatever water is in it then just slip the tires back on and they have ventilation so u could cover the vents but since the tire is not glued its just easier to remove tires and then slip them back very easily other than that everything else is waterproof and you can run them through water right out of the box bud 👍
Nice! Are there any engine noise boxes, that can fit small scale FCX24 like this? Or, are the sound boxes just meant for the Traxxas large scale trucks?
I dont know if they make little sound boxes but i have seen smaller scale truck like the WPLs with em maybey a WPL sound box will work for a smaller scale truck
@@wolfkingsigma2795 yeah you do have the cab space throw it in the back with some double sided tape and just put the cab on it and bingo u have truck noises 👍
Yes indeed i agree 100% with you its a trail truck through and through that is basically all i will use it for ! The testing and everything its to show everyone its capabilities as it is in stock from but as for me ill be making adventure trailing videos with its what i normally do here in this channel its all about that awesome trail//scale adventure for me 👍
Indeed they are shorter in real life but I'm definitely waiting on this new fcx18 k10 waiting for pre-orders to drop so i can purchase one immediately lol ✌️
Its a small and inexpensive platform and most people can buy it for their kids or to start on the hobby its not as eazy to pay 550 dollars for an rc truck for the majority of people they have to save to buy a big RC truck of that price so thats why the small ones are becoming very popular now a day its because they are more available to everyone and upgrading them is cheaper and easier than a 1/10 scale RC truck i have 2 1/10 scale truck and spend more time fixing them than enjoying them also because alot of parts involved are bigger parts to fix em also more expensive to maintain i love my big truck but ive noticed they dont get as many views and my little trucks do when i make content ive noticed that as well so i dont make as much content with my big trucks as i would like to but ill still make content because it what i do but probably make more of my smaller 1/18 trucks also everything is an obstacle for a small 1/18 scale truck it what makes them so fun to drive em around on trails and rocks
@@NWrcadventures I understand all that, they are not heavy and you can easily take them on vacation too! And their low weight can make them cross obstacles more easily, while the 1/10 are more cumbersome and heavier and they do not pass in ecrtains places!! But that's also why maybe one has the impression that the 1/18 could cross certain places that the 1/10 could not!!
@@aureliusprimus the chassis on the TRX4M is a steel/metal chassis and the chassis on the FMS is plastic but very sturdy and tough also can be upgraded if wanted to a metal chassis you would just have to buy the upgrade metal chassis from fms or other manufacturers but there is a ton of support upgrades and replacement parts available for both trucks 👍
I’ve got those tires mounted up on my orange and white K5 Blazer. With flubber stuffers also my go to inserts
Nice i heard good thing about those inserts
This is awesome dude, this is the kind of videos I like. Out on the trails driving around seeing what you can fine. Looking good out there 👍👍😎

The fcx will literally smoke the trx4m in heartbeat i know 👍
Gr8 video n Thanks for comparison.
Didn't know about the trx18
I got the FMS24 and both look amazing real.
Thanks very much and yes they look very scale 👍
That was nice driving through the rocks with the blazer, come on high Trail yeah what a awesome spot dude love it 👍👍😎

like to see drag race between those two..!🏎🏎
The fms is much faster than the traxxas straight up
That was nice driving, I got the orange and white and the black one and the silver K5FCX 24s now the K 10 Chevy high Trail black

I'm in Springfield Oregon, you must be up north I don't recognize that park from around here.
Yeah way up north in the westside of the Portland metro area so out in the suburbs and yes that is a local park near me
I cut the back window out of my K5 the glass is there looks a lot better with the window there

the TRX4M is waterproof in stock version ??

so the FMS waterproof as well?
