- Hello everyone, my name is Duong.
I am 32 years old.
I live in a poor mountainous area of Vietnam.
From a young age, I had to work hard to help my parents.
Difficult life is always around, I work and learn everything from my grandparents and the old people in the village.
Gradually, I mastered the skills.
5 years ago, I decided to live the challenge.
Determined to learn about the primitive way of life, I chose to live in the wilderness, alone.
Where there's no technology and forcing yourself to pass, it feels great!
How about you? Your life is definitely different from mine.
Have fun watching the video!

Thx for russian subs. Craft plz bamboo hamaca
Hello Duong I think you're going to build a protection fence
As one who has raised a lot of chickens, I would suggest that you build a six foot by six foot pen, the same type of fence as you made for the garden, off to the side of your chicken house to raise your young chickens in.. it cuts down on the chick loss greatly....you can sit the nesting boxes inside a small lean-to to keep the rain off the nesting hens, and then the chicks that hatch can grow up in safety inside their own pen with plenty of room to scratch and eat bugs .. Also, if your not getting all of the eggs from your hens, maybe put another laying nest inside the chicken house itself so that you have 3 laying nests..that will also help you know when a hen is wanting to sit on eggs to hatch and then she and the eggs can be moved to the hatching pen.. I hope my suggestions help.. happy holidays to you and your family ..
Sangat setuju 👍👍👍
i could be wrong but i think those aren't gonna lay eggs as often as farm chickens. I think they might be jungle fowl? not sure if wild chickens do the regular egg laying thing
@@CheerfuEntropy They are a blend of American Game chickens and Asil. The sport of cockfighting is huge over there and they’ve heavily imported fowl from the US since before the Vietnam War, which have mixed with their native game fowl and then gone feral. The hens will typically lay less than 100 eggs a year, generally wanting to set after 10-12 eggs and won’t lay again till the chicks are weaned.
congrats on the 200 episodes of hard work and dedication!
Thanks to show us the beauty of your hard work. Greetings from Mexico
thank you very much
You brought a tear to this old man. The way you ran to get that chick warm. We need more people like you. Thanks
Even had a camera set up just to catch it. Or did he set the camera up after it fell in?
@@D4m4g3d yeah this is kind of weird, either very coincidental or dodgy af
Tanti auguri di Buon Natale dall'Italia.... sei veramente bravo. Ciao😀😀😀🍾🥂
Here in the UK a majority of ponds near where I live they have wooden ramps that allow animals that have fallen in to swim to get out, you could made a load of those up and place them every 10 meters because the animals will panic when trying to get out. Great video!
love what you doing im enjoying every second od the video
I salute you, I am in awe of your skills and abilities. If all people were like you, the world would be a much better place. Congratulations on saving the baby chicken. It's clear that the pond is dangerous for the ferrets and it would probably be a good idea to fence it off like your garden. Thanks for your great videos and your approach to life.
If all people were like him there’d be no more bamboo left XD
@@floydwordsworth9175 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks!
We all love you soo much!..your videos are the BEST PART OF MY DAY..Merry Christmas to you and all our loved ones..
I would love to see your family working and playing on the farm alongside you.
Bedankt
thank you so much
I am moved by the care you show for the individual chicks. You stopped all work to rescue and warm the little one that fell in the water. You are like a shepherd looking out for his lambs. Such care and gentleness of spirit that you display. 🙂👍
That's Duong's showtime. Not fake unless the chick is a good actor. He he How i love primitive skills i bet million + subscribers also feel a happy heart. Thank you Duong.
@@anicetapreciosaelechobagun9082 Lol I genuinely laughed when you said the chick could be a good actor
Congrats on your 200th episode! Well done.
And a huge thanks for an amazing year, you have surely kept it interesting and inspiring. :)
I love how you matched the inner and outer sides of the bamboo for the fencing by the pond. It created a lovely horizontal stripe with no real vertical lines from a distance.
Concerning the henhouse: I would also suggest a smooth floor, or cover the existing one with straw, to make it easier to clean out the guano for use as fertilizer.
Посади тыкву она хорошо растёт и вкусная как для кур так и тебе можно варить питательную кашу
The scenery is so beautiful, so quiet, I love it
I loved how you took care of the little chic that fell in th pond. You're so sweet to your chickens. I also love your fence you put up, great job. ❤
I want you to go there. I would like to stay one day if possible.
Love from Bangladesh ❤️❤️❤️
sorry that's not possible
Hey Duong, i am 37 years old and from Germany. it is below freezing point here due to the winter. i hope you and your family doing well and everybody is in good health. i have been watching your progress for quite a while now. it is lovely to see your farm grow and your projects come to fluition. a little hint for your fence, maybe add a Layer of crossed Bamboo to strenghten it´s durability, as it seems quite wobbly from being placed in soft dirt. you also mentioned that the kitchenroof begins to become unstable and showed that the main bamboo log was broken some episodes ago. will you make a wooden frame and maybe clay rooftiles? do the woodplanks you created the roof for the main house not rot relatively quickly with the amount of rain you seem to have?

Great job Duong! Glad to see you added the roosting bars in the coop. 💖 It's a more a natural resting position for chickens. Love the new brood of chicks too, Mama cluck is quite the broody hen! Your first domesticated chick group that's used to your handling and will eat from your hand. 🥰 Great thought and preparation for them. 🐣🐤🐥🐥🐤 Soon you'll be up to your eyeballs in eggs! 😆
Bom dia pra vc tambem..tá ficando muito linda sua fazenda. Gostaria de ver alguns patinhos nadando nesse lindo lago..
Me too, I hope someday I'll come across a flock of mallards and trap them to raise
Nonton sambil belajar , pengambilan Vidio sangat menarik. Bambu bambu tanam buat stok
Красивый дизайнерский забор, как и весь ландшафтный дизайн, усадьбы. С любовью возведенный. И великим трудом, завидным терпением! Респект и уважение, творцу созидателю!!!
Hi Duong! have been watching your videos for a very long time, but have never commented. You are very hard working and very creative as well.
I am from Sweden, it is -15 outside. Nothing can be grown here in winter, theer is only ice and snow.
BTW - being able to grow bamboo is an unfair advantage ;))) In the coutryside, I can weave fences mainly with fresh willow twigs and stems. It grows quite fast, but not as fast as bamboo and not in those amounts. That is how our ancestors used to do it, but now people only make it as a hobby.
I agree, bamboo is a fantastic building material and can be used for so many things and the best thing is it grows so fast and the new shoots can be eaten too 😊
seriously, every time i watch him i cant help but wish i had a stand of bamboo handy. It is absurdly useful. That being said its a shame more of the primitive tech folks don't live anywhere near flint deposits. Seems like the ideal location would be near flint and bamboo
Yes, and yes! Willow bark is good for curing headache, but nothing compares to a nice fresh shoot of bamboo in my wok :))
Where I live we are not blessed with flint either :( Old ice-age boulders that are growing from the ground - that we have plenty off :)
You should create a game for yourself. Hen house looks great.
Feliz Navidad para tí y la familia ,desde Argentina
Nice that you safe your animals for the Winter 🖐❤️🐣🐤🐥🐔❤️🖐
Your farms has grown so much in the past few years its great to see how far you have come !
thank you
I'm following your work, all the way from New Jersey, on the east coast of America.
It's gotten cold here too. Between -3° to 14° on average.
Lots of icy rain.
I used to live in Florida.
The weather there is similar to Vietnam's weather.
As a kid, I wanted to try my own challenge, just like yours.
But Florida is too populated and overdeveloped.
It was not possible.
However, watching you work has kept a piece of my childhood in tact!
Thank you, Duong! 😁
Thank you , Duong .
🐺
Great work on the bamboo waddle fence!
request a video of trapping a magpie and then making a cage for it 😊
Gosto como você cuida dos animais com carinho com dedicação e com muito amor
Many blessings to you, the flora and the fauna! May you all flourish!
❤️❤️❤️ em xem anh làm mà đến ngủ em còn mơ thấy em đang làm giống anh nữa cơ. Đúng là đỉnh thật sự
I love that you've alternated the green and white to make it functional and attractive!
I'm always amazed at what you can do with bamboo. I wish I had a ready supply that I could try to build stuff with and compare it to my old stand-by willows. From cold, snowy, and windy Canada; have a happy new year.
Молодец
Cada vez que veo tus videos aprendo algo, técnico y espiritual, Gracias!!!

Quick thinking with the baby chicks! You were so good and gentle. You saved that poor thing's life! 😃😃😃😃😃❤❤❤❤❤ Great job on the fence! I admire you very much, not only for your skills/talents but for your heart.😃❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🧡
Duong, watching your show is like being on vacation to a better time. When people can just live without governments or money!
Здравия желаю, Duong, из России. Рад новой встречи с тобой. Желаю Вам удачи и всего самого доброго.
Siempre es un honor y placer ver tu trabajo 🇦🇷❤️
I love to see your happy chickens! It is wonderful to see how well you take care of them and so very happy that the chick that fell into the pond is OK. Look forward to the next video.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas season and a healthy and lucky New Year.
Greetings from Turkey...❤️🇹🇷❤️
Well done, your Garden is secured 👌👌🐔🐓👌
Good vidios. Am like it's thanks for vidios.
Good job brother.👍👍👍
Beautiful work sir
Sugar could you try crushing up some of that lime stone you use for making iron on the lot for you vegetables. Spreading it out.
Looks like that soil is acidic, ash from wood also , the chicken shit mature harvested of course is excellent.
Wood bars , thicker the better , set out in organized lengths laid out in the soil release minerals for better production. Any and all weeds , and organic material from the forest spread out, thicker the better.
Does not have to be worked in or decomposed. Right on top.
You are so clever and hard working. With your talent with bamboo I would think you would make a roof of long bamboo poles. split in half long wise and then interlocking like 'Spanish tiles. I have seen several people in your part of the world do this very easily. It would be very easy for a new roof over the kitchen and much easier than wood times. God bless you and your family and all your efforts.
Спасибо, всё хорошо.
Thank you again for sharing your videos and teaching people new things. Your fence structure was sturdy and beautifully made and only adds to the overall aesthetic beauty of your land, and I'm certain others will be inspired to use the same style of enclosure for their property. I wish you all the best for the Christmas season and may your hard work bring happiness, prosperity and fortune.😁🖖👍
We have unusual weather today (Harrisburg, PA, USA) -2 degrees with rain and snow. Ice is forming and accumulating on branches; some will break and fall. Our chickens still want to forage for food! I never try to guess what you will do next; your creativity always surprises me, just like your creative and unique camera angles. Will you need a fence for the other side of the garden? Chickens can be relentless!
Good job ! 💪💪💪💪 you are a great worker!💪👍
Dude it's so crazy how far you have come over the years I still remember how excited I was over you digging that drainage tunnel
Man I had to make so many of those fences when I was a kid at my grandparents...takes me back. 🥰
Hey Duong!! I'm from Brazil, I follow your project for a long time and I love what you do, please don't stop!!
You've been asking us for tips and feedback, and here are some of the things I've got:
-Do you like mushrooms? Your region looks pretty humid, is it good for growing mushrooms on tree trunks? would you do it for us?
-I have noticed that you spend a lot of time with fish food and that part of it ends up floating in the lake. If the food is shredded, would these leftovers run out? With this in mind, it would be interesting for you to build a food crusher, just as you have a food crusher to make flour, you could make something to grind grass and leaves into smaller pieces for animals and fish, making you have less time spent on chopping them with the knife and less leftovers.
-An idea for fertilizers: create a compost bin with organic materials, so creating fertilizer for the plantation would be faster?
-Kitchen renovation project, make bamboo walls create a wind shelter in cold days?
-Use the area just in front of the house door, where there is this "hole" before the lake, could you create a small rice paddy in the water? just like you did a long time ago.
-Traps for predators, urgent!! At the same time, create a fenced-in chicken coop for all the chickens.
I always watch your videos on a large screen, it’s the only way to watch them in my opinion 👍😊
I am passionate about my current job, hope to satisfy you
😍
@@PrimitiveSkillsnet I love the way you are increasing your chicken population, I remember when you set traps for your first chickens and had to tame them, you have come a long way since then my friend, all the best to you and a merry Christmas 😊

Duong, again beautifull camerawork and very crafty skills making a fence like that. You asked in your videos what the people watching are doing. Well: im a Applied psychology student from the Netherlands. Thats a broad study with multiple fields but its basicly the study and science of behavior and mental processes. My plan is to become a psychologist that will optimize the educational system. Now im working on a researchproject to clearify what teachers already do on daily basis to include cultural knowledge of students. Its a lot of reading and thinking. Your videos are a relaxing moment when my head is full of information. After watching your videos I mostly am al ready again to go back to reading, so thanks for that!

Thx bro and Merry Christmas to you as well Duong !👏
you did the great great job , you are an amazing and nice man . thank you .
I’m in the northeast of the United States. We are having really bad winter storms right now. I really enjoy your content.
You asked about the weather? I live on the Kenai peninsula, Alaska.
We got our first good snow in mid October. Usually it melts a few times before mid December when it will then stay and get deeper until April or May. This year it didn't! We started with about 20 cm in October and we're up to about a meter now!! We got about 25 cm last night! And out temperature all week will be -4c for a HIGH! And -15c for a low! A nice "hot" summers day here is 20c with an average of about 15c.
I still love it though!
Hello Duong, I really appreciate your work, I'm from Brazil, South America, São Paulo, here in my region it's +35 C (95 F). When I was young (1970) I saw my father and grandfather working with bamboo, they made baskets and mats, it was very interesting, I even learned a little... but watching you. I remember the teachings. Thank you very much and may God bless and protect you and your family, health and prosperity!
С наступающим новым годом! счастья, здоровья и процветания!

Poor baby chicken, I’m glad you saved him. I love your new chicken coop, I think the chickens are going to be very happy.
Your fence looks great! I can't wait until you finish building it all the way around your garden. Thanks for sharing your videos. 🙂

Buenos dias saludos amigo

There is no such thing as cold weather...just wrong clothes...dress warmer....chicks like a dry sandpit where they can take a sand bath
I'd love to see you try growing a living bamboo fence
You can build a much bigger chicken coop in the future and one that has a bunch of egg laying baskets inside of it if you wanted to. In a way that it's easy to remove the baskets and pick the eggs out of them.
You can build a space station in the future, one that has many farm lands that are way easier to plow because of the advanced robots that are on the station itself, instead of manual labor.
Do you see the value of your comment?
