This man took a piece of empty land a built a village basically and he's creating financial opportunities for himself all from scratch, MOTIVATING AND INSPIRING
This is so impressive! A working loom, all out of your local materials, and all that cotton thread which you grew, harvested, cleaned, and spun! Bravo, Duong! So much work, so much planning, and you just keep going. There is no stopping you!
Man, I remember setting up an old loom in an art class for the first time when I was in junior highschool. 2 hours a day and it took me about a week. It was about 3 times as wide, so lots of threads. No one knew how the thing worked but it was pretty easy to figure it out. Once you get the first couple strings in place, it's just repeat another 300 times or so. But eventually I ended up being able to make it work and made a blanket with it.
You never seem to impress with the skills you have !!!! Close for the family and so much more. This call goes out to you man of many skills . Continue to impress us and we will be watching.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
You continue to impress me Duong, and whats even better is your inspiration to want that dream that'll benefit you and your kids. Keep up the hard work and I look forward to the next video!
Exquisite detail, fine patience like we don't really see these days. Such intricate work you are doing here. I am so impressed, and thank you so much for sharing this with us, it's a real treat to see. I've seen many similar machines in museums, but I never saw anyone make one before. Can not wait to see what you do next time. Be well.😉
"A house so simple and filled with so many memories." You aren't kidding. I ended up looking through your early videos and I was shocked to realize how much you have done over the years. You do it bit by bit, and it has added up to so much. I am very sorry that the mother board has disappeared. If she was taken by the leopard, I hope it moves on and does not become a problem for your farm. I noticed some of the gourds in your house may be rotting. You should check on them and maybe make a hanging shelf to keep them dry. If some have started to rot, I guess they're boar food! Watching you make, build, and set up your loom just makes it so obvious how much more expensive clothing used to be. Making thread and weaving cloth for even a small village would be a person's full-time job. The treadle loom you built is a fairly modern invention as well. Your channel is an education. I can't wait to see what you make with your cloth!

Love this video, I am so very proud of you and your hard work towards this dream. We all knew you were capable of achieving this craft and it has been a joy to watch.❤
Meu nome Marcia!!
Very good. I am happy to see you are doing well, and that you have mage a midevil loom to make fabric with. Hopefully this loom will make you enough fabric to make clothing. I know that it needs a really small thread to make finer cloth, but you will have to experiment with various size threads to figure out what works best for the type of cloth you need.
Buen dia Doung, uno grande abrazo. Grandioso trabajo en la contrucción de tu telar. Muy lindo trabajo de tecer los hilos de algodón que vos mismo producistes. My encanta tus videos.
WOW! You did it Duong, you should feel very proud of yourself! I’m proud of you, so impressed with how you’re doing. Many many years of hard work and look at what you’ve accomplished. Thank you for sharing it all. 👏 Much love from Canada 🇨🇦
I have nothing but awe for you. it is really amazing! I was moved by the way they concentrated and patiently connected hundreds of threads. In Japan, "Oshima Tsumugi", which is famous as a traditional craft, is made with a loom. I have only watched TV, but thanks to you I learned how a loom works. I'm grateful to have known this. Duong, That was amazing. You do everything with such ease of skill an patience it belies the extraordinary difficulty of each task. I love your videos. I’ve been watching them for a couple of years. Wow! The homestead is looking amazing. Thanks so much for sharing your journey!!!
Yipee!!👏👏👏🎉🎉👏👏👏 Congratulations!! You now have a working loom to add to your farm! Wow!! Very way cool! Lol But whewwwww! I was hoping and 🙏🏻 that it didn’t cloud and rain while you getting all of those threads in place! I was thinking why didn’t he do this under shelter!? Shiver That said, I hope that you can now easily move it to a sheltered place to continue weaving! : ) Would like to also see how your culture dyes cloth and what you make dyes from. For a young man, your primitive skills and craftsmanship is amazing! Is this the norm for all men your age in your country? You should be building things to sell too! Wow! It will be interesting to see what you make from the cloth you weave. You have put so much work into bringing this cotton growing adventure full circle, I hope that you find a nice place on your farm to grow more cotton. You can’t just let these wonderful cotton processing tools just become dust collectors! : )
19:06 This is called the "beater" in english, because you beat the threads into the fabric to make them tight. The ones with the looped strings are called the "heddles". --- 27:32 It is best to use some thin bamboo or paper rolled onto the spool with the threads to keep the threads separated from the previous layer so they do not get tangled. It also makes it easier to get them on.
Когда мне исполнилось около 25 лет, я с удивлением узнал, что вязание - это исконно мужское ремесло. Поморы на севере вязали сети и тёплую одежду для работы в море. А сегодня свитера и носки вяжут только бабушки внукам 😅
We're finally reaching the age of making his own shirt
No more ripped clothes ❤
Remember a year ago when he first tried to fix that one shirt he called it "his legendary shirt" and to be honest I back that statement up 100% lol
2027 is the year of the coconut Nintendo

It’s amazing how we think of Looms as primitive, but they’re still very complicated.
