You can be sure of only one fact, The Rideshare company will charge the rider the highest fare it can get away with while actively lowballing the driver. They don’t care if the numbers work for you, you are expendable. They think there is an endless supply of disposable drivers they can play for several months before the driver realises it’s a bait and switch algorithm. Take care and take money!

I was driving in the clear. So I drove to a huge $$$ cloud a mile away. As soon as I was approaching it, BAM! It disappeared. Man I was hot. Done that a few times already. No more.

I dont care about people needing cabs. They will bounce back. In the meantime, Uber needs to be liquidated and all thefts returned to all drives.

You had Premier, Premier Hourly, and Uber XL filtered and complained about not getting Uber X requests? I agree the gray clouds are BS as I have routinely been in middle of them with zero requests. What I really think is happening is the algo factors in acceptance rates to see who gets ride requests.
No not complaining. Was pointing out that X wasn't showing as busy considering ALL the gray that was out. IF it were as busy as they were showing me then X should have busy.
We should meet up one day Vinny. I live out in Coral Springs. I drive a white Model 3 with a black top and American flag on the back of my windows. This gray cloud shit is utter b.s.
All it does is slow my app down when it refreshes. No surging anymore since it came out.
Like this video, I’ll go an hour or 2 and not get a single request it’s annoying. I feel like they are giving the rides to the new people and low balling them. I took an Uber recently to the auto parts store to fix a flat I had and talked to the driver. He drives in Coral Springs primarily and says it’s busy. As he’s doing my ride, he gets another request and less than a second just accepts it without reviewing it. Meanwhile I’m sitting in my house right near the Coral Square Mall where there’s mad restaurants and businesses and don’t get a single damn request. I think they are trying to phase out the veteran drivers to keep churning and burning with new drivers.
New drivers don't know any better and some drivers get better opportunity's than others also. It's def not a fair playing field. And of course, in a few weeks we can meet up and grab some food!
Yea than they give you a ride with a 4.40 rating, 15 minutes away, 4 minute drop off. Smh. F*** uber.

I call it reservation time out. Uber is using you as a backup in case Drivers don't show up for reservations.

Cant pay attention to the doom and gloom. I go 2 counties over for the weekend to work and stay with my mother. My starting county was just like this a sea of $$$ & $$$$ not 1 single ping till the next county where there was no clouds of $ .
I got so annoyed with there old message they used to display its busy expect a trip soon ticked me off so bad. Im like if it was busy uber you wouldnt have time to tell me its busy. It's like they replaced that message with those clouds.

Chicago uber black drive said he would do great in south Florida. I mean with tesla rentals 800$ thats same price as chicago uber black escalade. I wonder if that would be a good experiment for you

Did you do any aiport trips with the tesla that you rented? Im thinking about renting a tesla for airport trips only since i get lile 4 uber tiers with one car im assuming it will cut the wait times in half
I did have a couple trips to the airport and rematched out but never went into the queue to wait so not sure if having it helps cut down time.
I rented a tesla from hertz here in phoenix az. Tesla has alot of downtime (charging) I rented this tesla this past Wednesday. Going back to gas rental next week. Too .e it was a fail

Tough call as Hertz is really charging above and beyond what was originally told, many drivers are getting taken advantage of. I turned my in when they attempted to raise my price. I feel ya though as my truck just went down too and repairs are expensive but if you have a car already then I would stick with it and attempt to save some earnings until you can buy a better vehicle. I know it sucks but the market is too slow to be paying those fees for the rental. Just my opinion.

I plan on the Tesla in August, the rental went back when Hertz jacked up all the rates. So many drivers are getting ripped off now from the rental.
