Looks good. I haven't tried that spoon yet. Great to see you using 40#! I see a lot of guys fishing 20 or 30 and breaking fish off. Try offsetting your hooks 1/4". It really seems to help get hook ups.
@@dxharms I am not sure why you would say 40# is ridiculous? Commercial guys use 80-100#. A 30# chinook could not only easily break 20#, but its large teeth could very easily cut it (much less 12# test). Years ago I made a decision that if the fish doesn't care what pound test it is, why should I?

You can’t use trebles for salmon in California only barbless hooks

Thanks I’ll try that , those mustad hooks work really good once I hook up they usually always stay pinned
@@fv_hightide Roger that, there's a reason why the coms use em. The offset helps get better hook ups on your takedowns.
