I've watched this video a couple times and it still look up SteveTech to be reassured I'm making the right decision buying expensive conical springs or at least Ti retainers

Appreciate the info. Have a suggestion. If possible load videos in order in the playlist. In other words the playlist plays the latest video first instead of the first in a series. Thank you.

I like the single beehive except it lacks the redundancy of multiple springs. If the beehive breaks, there's maximum valve-piston damage. Good for machine shop business though.

Easier to understand, the spring begins to bounce at hi rpms when coil bind is more than 100/1000" 😅

Hello my friend, I would love to know if you can tell me what's the max lift these springs can handle, here are the springs specs: seat load 136 lbs @ 1.800'' , open 412 lbs @ 1.170'' , spring rate 438 lbs/in and coil bind 1.125'' , thanks in advance

      0.615” if you are shooting 0.060” from coil bind. 1.800” - 1.125” - 0.060” = 0.615”

Can you use springs from a cast iron head on aluminum head

One engine builder on you tube had a .010 clearance on his head set up, came here to check,,yeh I was rite 050-.080

Russel, Just asking but…Was he measuring his .010 in between the coils or was he actually .010” from coil bind? because if he was measuring in between spring coils and there’s 6 coils then he’s right in the range that would in fact be .060” from coil bind.
