That fish looked incredible! Spongey batter tho🤔 shame about that! Hope all the fish was eaten - just watched a programme about sea fishing - it’s a hazardous occupation, we should treasure the 🐟🐠🦈.
To me the batter is very important and this looks realy nice to me. It needs to remain crispy regardless to how much vinegar you drench over it. Some go soggy too easily. I will try this place in near future.Tasty looking review thanks.

Being yorkshire born and bred , i never knew fishcakes came any diiferent than two slices of potato with fish in the middle then battered! those mushy things need to be banned !
I'm a Sheffield lad and It's really known as a Sheffield fishcake but copied even as far as the Yorkshire coast. 2 Steps in my opinion is not the best in Sheffield I think it's between Poseidon, Frymaster or Whitby's. Having been to Anstruther many times they are without doubt the best i've ever tasted. :) Magpie at Whitby is pretty good too!

Now don’t get me wrong here, I love your channel and your reviews but you wound me off the scale with your ayup and “is that what they say around here”.... no wonder the guy ignored you.
