- The cortège of the late, much loved and respected Dr John Hinds , lead by Dr Fred McSorley MBE from Beaumont Hospital, Dublin to Tandragee, Co Armagh on 07/07/2015. Dr Fred's pillion passenger is Janet Acheson, partner of the late Dr John.

I was just watching some videos of this guy and what he did. Thinking what a beast he was. Then I stumbled into his "RIP" section of videos and now I'm sad. Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear leathers and helmets. RIP, Dr. Hinds.

It looks as if even the skies wanted to weep but were afraid it would be too dangerous for the motorcycles. This is so very, very sad considering what this man did for a living and as a volunteer. The medical evacuation helicopters should be put in to effect as a tribute to Dr. Hinds.
I've watched this many times. Every time it brings a tear to my eye. Thank you for your service Dr JH. I am endeavouring to bring basic trauma care skills to all bikers on our SFRS Biker Down courses and you get a mention in them every single time. Your legacy lives on and always will.
Raise your hat. For the man of the man. Highest respect from bikers and medical team.

One of the most touching things I've ever seen about anything, anywhere. John was an amazing person in every way one can be amazing.
Just think about the tragedy and risk he took. He died on his way to an accident as the fast response medic. When you ARE the fast response who comes for you? He was a true hero risking his life to save lives every time he got on his bike. Just blows my mind and makes me think about what little I do (and risk) for others.

So, almost 10yrs now (hard to believe, feels like yesterday) does Northern Ireland have an Air Ambulance? My Cousin was the first NICU Flight Nurse here in Alberta, Canada for STARS by Airplane and Helicopter.(STARS Air Ambulance now services parts of B.C, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba with several Bases. It’s been amazing the growth of STARS - Shock Trauma Air Rescue Service - and how many lives they’ve touched. 9 Daily missions on average. 55,000+ Missions since 1985. 3,365 Missions in 2022-2023.
All STARS crew are volunteers) She temporarily retired to raise her kids and went back into nursing a few years ago redoing her RN Schooling. She’s one of a kind, just like Dr.John Hinds was. R.I.P Dr. Hinds, may you forever Ride among the Clouds. 😢

This is indeed moving, especially to anyone who is an avid motorcyclist. It's always hard to see the good ones go early.
Oh wow what a great man I never knew probably like many that these wonderful men are there on duty what happened to this great man. Having riden mootorcycles for many years , not road racing thankfully I have been the idot on a bike at times and can only thank the Lord for bringing me home safely. Dr John what a man thank you I have learnt something new, we lost some Kiwi riders on the IOM and I trust that Dr John was there in their last moments RIP legend

Upsetting to find out he died.
Cant believe his last ride was by a vehicle what a disgrace. His ride to his resting spot should been on a motorcycle with a side car. He died doing what he loved what a angel.
I have seen funerals using sidecars as hearses but I don't think that there are any in Ireland.
