I used to get a kick out of doing the ogre’s annoyed comments during this track from 1:09 to 1:36. The sheer silliness of the ogre against such harsh music always made me laugh
1:16 you can hear this part in Orc 2 theme from Warcraft 3, but more stoic and less warlike, which makes sense for Thrall's Horde. It's amazing how this music still holds up. I wish we had pre-WoW Blizzard around, although, I would argue, music is the only thing that still isn't disappointing in the more recent Blizzard games.
They completely remade Orc 2 for Warcraft 3. These songs really characterize what it's like to work for Ner'Zhul: the bounty is enough to give you super powers, but the punishment is death. The Warlock Warchief does not accept defeat from his subordinates.
@@High_Priest_Jonko unlike the game. It's such a shame they never got to make a remaster with better pathfinding, higher resolution and controls. Sorta like that bootleg Warcraft 2000 game, but official and even better
Warcraft 2 Orcs were actually under the effect of a demonic rage, they're more peaceful and respectful in the sequel because they are no more under the effect of the magic of Zul'dan
not to mention, that alliance won only cause by the time of final battle for Lordaeron, Gul'Dan took 2 clans to search Sargeras tomb, and angry Doomhammer took another clans to search the traitors. So basicaly it was 1/3 of the horde army, that was fighting the alliance in lordaeron.
Even if this music is nostalgic for me, I have to say that the Starcraft 1 Terran music really beats nothing. One of, if not the best music-track in any game ever made.
What's wrong with a Horde led by a guy who; 1. has no sense of compromise, 2. kills at the drop of a hat, 3. kills one of his fellow leaders, 4. alienates and later tries to kill another fellow leader, 5. literally nukes a city, 6. declares genocide on an entire race, 7. decides he wants to conquer a newfound continent and 8. wants to use a force originating from the Old Gods, who were directly responsible for the Cataclysm, as a weapon. I'm pretty sure those eight pointers speak for themselves
Kind of a long shot considering that there's a well established lore that the orcs weren't evil in the beginning. Demons like Kil'jaeden and Sargeras were around since WC2, and the orcs simply deciding to invade Azeroth for sh*ts and giggles because they were evil would have made for a lame excuse even in the early nineties. Not to mention making the New Horde evil right after WC3, where they helped kill one of the Legion's lords (Archimonde), would have been a plot hole the size of Canada.
You forget that in warcraft 2 orcs could win if you played as them and who wouldn't they have better music units and spells . Thats the best part about this games you can control the stories ending and crush the elves stronghold and the humans.

For a few reasons.
I was thinking more along the lines of a proud member of the Horde (the old Horde controlled by the Burning Legion, but still) holding the bloody corpse of a filthy member of the Alliance...but, that works too.
@jimmyhayers Oh yes, Starcraft has some kickass music...and most of C&C games as well =) But Warcraft II's music is the only one that really brings memories and nostalgia...and the simple reason for that is that Warcraft II was the very first RTS I ever played, when I started to play games in 1996 ...I never actually played Starcraft or C&C games until much later, few years ago actually for the very first time.

You know, just because the orcs are no longer influenced by demonic bloodlust and don't behave like savages it doesn't mean they're 'treehugging idiots'. In fact, having emotions does not mean one can't be a badass. Seriously, this whole 'emotionless brutality' admiration sounds like something in 90's comic books written by Rob Liefeld and Jim Lee, where showing any emotion other than being pissed off or joyously slaughtering people left and right is considered unacceptable.
I am not saying that it is noble or whatever, just that this kind of horde fits warcraft more, than tree-hugging idiots, who look more like green humans, not orcs
tbh. Alliance was pretty badass in those times too. Deterined, strong willed and not forgiving. In WC2 times alliance had the strongest army ever. And in terms of units. Archers were probaby better than trolls, ogres were better than paladins and mages were pretty balanced. Rest of units were same.
