This might be my favourite 911. It looks slightly awkward with the roof up, but with the roof down, goodness gracious it's beautiful! Thank you once again for the excellent video, Nick!
Sooo true, they had a couple of these at my local dealer over the last year...I've got a couple vid clips of it on my channel, but it's gorgeous with the roof down, meh with the roof up.
I don't get it... A soft top compromises body rigidity and handling. Why would anyone buy a compromised 911? If someone wants a roadster then just buy a Boxster...
@@droptopdan Dan that is not correct, they started the factory back up again after loosing some of those Speedsters to the sea and this particular one rolled off the factory floor in 2020 👍
I wish EA could do a Need For Speed Porsche Unleashed 4k remastered for PC/PS5/XBXS! And make Nick Murray a playable character in the storyline of the game! 😂
EA and Porsche wouldn't take such a risk! Imagine the frustrating experiences all the characters in the game would face while driving Porsches previously owned by Nick Murray's character. The player too! Congratulations! You won Nick Murray's car. I am sure it is broken! Can i have a refund? Please!!! Of course Nick's character would be constantly in trouble too, with his Porsches constantly breaking down during races giving Porsche a bad reputation. I don't know if you all already know but the BMW M3 that broke down in Need for Speed Most Wanted was previously owned by Nick. Nick before owning Porsches used to have BMW's, different brands the same problems, welcome to the Nick Murray's experience!
Porsche Omaha had one in their showroom in October. Silver, gold rims, Heritage decal package. Listed for about $450k or so. Beautiful up close. Glad you got to drive one!
I see one of these at work occasionally and had no idea it was so special. The SCR crew regularly talk about how the Speedster is one of the best cars in Zuckerman’s collection, too.
I really like the smooth line at the back of the car with the open top speedster. Beautiful. A normal 911 convertable with the roof down always looks a bit crappy. Well apart from your one of course - that would be like slagging off your grandad.
As epic as it is, it is cursed with the 911 cab body proportions. (In my visual estimation, at least) Bloated back half. Enter the spyder, and eventually, the spyder rs. Perfection. YMMV.
It’s a 991R cab more than a GT3 cab IMO. Same CF hood, fenders, motor, bespoke interior dials, etc…. I bought one last summer, it’s my 10th GT product and I can say it’s a keeper. Absolutely special car.
Dr Murray lots of folks on the various Porsche forms are angry at your 911 turbo S review. I agree with u good sir! 😃 although, Mozart is bit too much lol! Try some Schumann next time.
Props to the owner for driving, and letting you drive this beautiful car. Everyone else dropped theirs like a bad habit once the Spyder was handed over to the GT division. I forecast the 718 Spyders and and 991 Speedsters to both meet up around $200k depending on how many Spyders actually get built. If the Spyder RS gets the R treatment with a manual, that would have a shot at holding the crown of the best Porsche ever made, at least temporarily.
Thanks for very much for the video! It is a stunning car. And the engine soundtrack, right up there with the Mozart accompaniment. However I did miss the roast fat baby recipe which hopefully will be forthcoming. 😁😆🤣
Mere mortals will never get a chance of owning one of these, the best we can hope for is a Boxster Spyder RS. This is truly a work of art and modern engineering combined.
Great video Nick ! love the car ! regards from Stonehaven Scotland.... (where it is freaking cold at the moment even my Cayenne Coupe will stay on the drive)🥶🥶🥶
Thought that was you pulled over on the side of 25. Too bad they chopped up the road with all those patches, though still a pretty decent piece of highway. Beautiful car.
Unpopular opinion- the rear proportions of this generation 911 Speedster look a little weird. The 718 Spyder is the prettier of the open top cars that come from Porsche's GT department.
Hello nick. I desperately need your opinion on a LIFE OR DEATH situation. One year ago, my parents paid for a new car of my choice as a graduation present. I picked a base model macan with a few quirky options, such as the compass, and rear window shades, but spent the rest of the budget on adaptive cruise control and the pano roof. If you were a 24 year old owning a brand new macan without any debt, would you sell it for something more interesting like a lotus esprit or a 997 911, or would you keep the macon and buy something like a miata?
It depends a bit where you live and if you are really a car person or not. The Macan will be a good comfortable and easy ownership where as other options you list will be very high cost for you going forward. Unless you hate it I would keep the nice gift you parents gave you.
Nick, will you by any chance review the 911 Dakar? I want to see you driving a 911 in the dirt instead of the highway 😂. By the way, is that custom wheel from Porsche’s “special wish” program or after market? Cheers!
Hey Nick! Have been watching your Porsche videos for some time now. Great job. Would like to suggest making a few videos on Porsche track days and or Porsche club racing. I think it may be fun for your viewers. Would be happy to help!

sir.blau's speedster is a sight to behold and is even more remarkable in person. Truly an amazing machine (with a great owner).

The sound of that 4.0 with the top down must be amazing
Beautiful car. As you mentioned, next level detail on that one.
This exact Speedster is the epitome of my net worth is infinitely larger than yours, and I absolutely love it. Just an exquisite configuration.
The fall foliage is a nice touch. Peak colors, peak 911 Speedster
Dr Murray, had no idea these existed aside from of course the 356. Thanks for the history lesson!
Wow that paint is beautiful. Totally worth paying up the arse for it. The owner has taste. And a healthy taxable income
As far as I'm concerned, this is the one. I love a TRUE sports car.

Mid engine Boxster speedster is a gorgeous ride and way more accessible!
Nice to see frequent car content again!
It had individual throttle bodies not seen in the 991.2 gt3 and gt3rs. This engine is what's on the current 992.1 gt3/RS
Nick churning out videos like it’s Christmas
Seriously Nick, this car by itself turns you from a solid 5/10 to scintillating 9/10.
Numeric shifter really helps "regular" 911s.
This one has it 😊
Great thank to you for answering the never asked question if unicorns are shaved round their second horn.
Love your 911 convertible Nick so old school 👍

The Speedster are pinnacle desirability. What an amazing experience you were able to enjoy. AWESOME!
Looks flat out amazing. It’s a shame Porsche don’t make more of them.
