- From award-winning creator, executive producer and writer Chuck Lorre, "Bob ♥ Abishola" is a love story about a middle-aged compression sock businessman from Detroit who unexpectedly falls for his cardiac nurse, a Nigerian immigrant, while recovering from a heart attack and sets his sights on winning her over. Undaunted by Abishola’s (Folake Olowofoyeku) lack of initial interest or the vast differences in their backgrounds, Bob (Billy Gardell) is determined to win Abishola’s heart, in this comedic examination of immigrant life in America.

i love this .... i'm late on the comments but this is a show that is entertaining and educational. the actors are so natural in their characters.. i hope this show lasts for years to come. and im excited to learn some nigerian culture..
Awesome interviewer . This young lady asked all the right questions we wanted to know . Even if we didn’t know it yet . Smart and sharp ! She’s also caring , genuinely interested and got in deeper than just the surface . Wish she had her own show she would be awesome to get to the heart of other people we want to know more about
A beautiful show. I look forward to see it weekly. I hope Folake will be a role model to these young black women who over paint their faces with makeup. Folake is so beautiful with little or no makeup.

Refreshing to see representation of a different culture on tv! Not just the immigrant story, caught in between the American modern culture and the culture of one’s homeland, but of an American opening his heart and mind to learn about a different culture. This is America! Just watched a few episodes, love it. Hoping it renews!!
I absolutely love their chemistry. This show speaks to my husband and I. Im not Nigerian but I am Cape Verdean off the west coast of Africa. He is a white man but we have the same values. Cape Verdean and Nigerian/Native African people shares the same traditional values so we see a lot of us in the show. I just got him hip to it but he loves it 🤣 we watch it every night on HBO Max so that way we can wait for season 5! Billy and Folake are amazing. They did good picking them

I must say i so much love the show but as a Yoruba lady myself i'll say on behalf of all Nigerians we don't understand what the song is saying cos it doesn't sound yoruba and please find people who speak the correct Yoruba
