- Here’s a video of an airport catering truck approaching an airliner. This view is unusual because the aircraft door is usually closed and locked when the truck approaches. Today the door was opened earlier and the safety strap deployed, giving a rare glimpse of the operation.
It's interesting to watch from the window to see the luggage and food being loaded 😂

LOL really? I wouldn’t know Oliver. It was kinda interesting to watch, normally the approach is made with aircraft doors closed.

Let me know how you get on, Neil. I've just applied for the same company today for the same job as you but at Newcastle Airport. The work seems pretty easy.
@@Zooumberg will do mate. For me the referencing process took about six week's. But I had an email from dnata saying we will pay you 50% of your contractual earnings for each complete week you are in referencing. You get this after 4 weeks in employment.
@@neilvella4208 So can you work when they're waiting for your references to come through? I've got the final test for my class one early next month so it might not be worth my while going for this job. But the work seems quite easy and you're essentially working off road. The pay isn't the best.
@@Zooumberg not while you're referencing is going on. But they pay you for waiting after you've worked there for 4 weeks. Don't know about class 1 mate as I'm going in as class 2 loading the planes with catering supplies.
I have flown many times but I have never seen such a thing.

I've worked at LSG Sky Chefs for 22 years. If you'll notice the driver pulled up to the rear side of the front door.@@send2georgie_S2G
You dont usually see such scenes in airports unless you are a crew member (Indian rule) because of hazards, Trade Secrets etc...
It was an European airport so rules were different cause the passengers were allowed onboard during the transit. Cheers and thanks for checking out this video 😀👍🏻
