Very helpful, My DX8 manual did not explain this function at all.

How did you setup your spektum radio to control your B35? I'm also running spektrum (dx18) and just purchased a wedico cat 740.

I am a beginner and have a high wing trainer plane that nosed up sharply when throttle was applied...too difficult to add downthrust washers to the engine mount so a friend added a mix 1 for THR / ELE ...
...when I look at the DX6 Tx screen it reads 6% 3%...0% offset....the plane now flys great and this keeps the nose from climbing when I apply power...but can you please explain what that 3% mix number is doing as I am not understanding that 3% number.....thanks

Hi Gary, without seeing your exact set up I might get it wrong. But I would hazard a guess that the 3% is adding down elevator. Therefore making the plane fly level. The 3% refers to the amount the servo is moving in relation to the throttle position. If its safe to do so, put the plane on the floor and apply throttle and you'll see the rear elevator move ever so slightly.

@@elliot330 if you go to the 3:06 min mark of the video...the screen reads 6% in the box with the rectangle and 3% in the next box...I thought the 6% was the additional down elev , but I am not understanding what the 3% represents...thank you ...

So what does the TRIM and OFFSET do?

Did you get an answer ? I want to know the same thing.

I have a Spectrum dx6 and a plane that noses up sharply when throttle is applied...
I want to mix in down elevator to keep the nose from jumping up.
I want no mixing when the throttle is decreased (on when it is increased )
so what values do I program in ? and what is the OFFSET option for ?

      check your
CG sounds like it is to far back

You shouldn't use a mix for that problem. You need less upthrust on your motor.

    • @lw216316
      @lw216316 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@andrewrobertson7358 less upthrust would be ideal but in this case a problem to implement - its on a umx foam micro -
      hard to change thrust angle.

@@lw216316 yeh, I can see that would be difficult. I just noticed your post was a year ago. I'd hope you had sorted it by now. Maybe the other guy was right, C of G too far back. These UMX always fly fine with normal settings.

Would have preferred that he used more relevant examples such as ail and rud mixing, otherwise very helpful

sorry, it was more aimed at ground models, not aircraft. .
