I am a Trans-man, and I am 19 years old. I think that kids can socially transition at whatever age. However, puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and Gender affirmation surgeries should be completely banned for anyone under the age of 18+. Adults can make the decision to transition medically if they want and need to.

I think it's that society has recently gotten more tolerant toward trans people, who are now much less likely to be forced into prostitution, beaten up in the street, sent to mental hospitals, systematicaly raped, etc. In the past most young people with dysphoria would be so afraid of the consequences of becoming who they want to be that they never dared to, and were condemned to lives of misery. Imagine a girl being forced to act like a boy/ man all her entire life.

Here’s the thing, his school teacher was wrong about the Nativity. Gabriel, the angel that came to Mary is a boy angel. Also archangel Michael. In fact we don’t know from the Bible if there are girl angels. Only boys mentioned and “heavenly hosts” which don’t specify. Didn’t read the story very well, did she in not letting him be an angel? Open up gender roles, don’t make kids think they’re a different gender.

"Why are so many more kids suddenly uncomfortable in their gender?"
Transgenderism has only recently become a topic that is frequently discussed, so people who may not have known that it existed are now able to understand their feelings and use the term in describing themselves.
    "They're too young to know."
This is a sweeping generalization covering all children, everywhere. It's a little difficult to imagine that every single child is born with the exact same preferences, and has the same DNA. To assume that no child can recognize what they are feeling is ridiculous.
    "They grow out of it."
Well, generally, when someone is repeatedly denied what they want, the desire for it eventually fades into the background, because their feelings are causing so much trouble that it doesn't feel worth the while to continue asserting oneself. That doesn't mean the desire is gone.
Now, I believe that the more we learn about what people who identify as transgender are experiencing, the better their care will become. It doesn't matter whether or not you're in support of transitioning genders; to be educated will help prevent horrible things from happening to people, and also will save many so much pain in becoming who they want to be.

The "society has become more tolerant" theory has been widely debunked. If this was indeed the case, we'd see people in their 40s/50s/60s coming out as trans (much in the same way that we saw older generations of closeted gay people coming out as society got more tolerant). We aren't seeing this happening in any significant numbers. We can pinpoint the rise of people "coming out as trans" to the internet and the rise of social media. This is social contagion - how else do you explain it? It also runs in friendship groups.

These kids have so little to worry about they create problems, like wanting to be somthing you 100% are not and will never be. Do you think children who grow up in war torn countries or places with lack of food food water think about changing sex? No they want to survive, help those who can't help themselves. But kids in these countries have nothing to fight or work for, so they create this fight to be something else. I'm not saying you should start wars or starve them, but they need things to aim for, like 1st place in a competition. When you give everyone a medal for 1st and last place and everything in-between they have nothing to aspire to, no reason to train, to learn, to get better, because they think they are already at the top. Competition is good for kids, losing gives them drive to try harder, winning gives them satisfaction that they are better than people who challenge them. When you have nothing to aim or fight for you create things and problems that do not exist.

It doesn't. People exist and it's natural. Nature loves to do strange things (look at mules, albino creatures, evolution, etc.) It happens everywhere and to everything. You don't wake up and suddenly become transgender one day, you just may feel comfortable enough to finally share it with people.
People get harassed and killed by people who "don't agree" when people are trans. Being trans isn't something you could change. The world isn't just male and female, xx chromosomes and xy, boys and girls. Every. Single. One of these exists on a spectrum (if you don't believe me about hormones, look it up. There are THOUSANDS of different x and y combinations (you might even have something different than you thought))
What made you decide you were a man?

@@oz659 I think there are people in this world that are just lost and have no idea what they want out of life or what direction they even want to go.
It’s sorta like experimenting with drugs and once they find that popular drug that other people are raving over they do it.

I'm not attacking. I'm not ignorant or fearful. I care about children's healthcare. No child is born in the wrong body. It has been proven beyond reasonable doubt that this is social contagion. It affects adolescent girls, it runs in friendship groups, it spiked right when young people could access the internet, people in their 40s/50s/60s aren't coming out as trans in any significant numbers. This is social contagion - it's a manufactured medical crisis and it's hurting children badly. Look at all the pink/blue stereotyping. It's sexist and regressive, too. I'm a teacher who cares about children and it's dangerous to shut down debate. Please don't advocate for our voices not to be heard. We have something important to say.

    • @kaye666
      @kaye666 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Absolutely. In nearly all cases, and in cases where children don't grow out of it, there is nothing to say that drugs/surgeries are the way forward. Not at all. What annoys me most of all is that it's not like in medieval times when doctors didn't really know what they were doing. They KNOW these things. They have wilfully gone against what they know. to be true, all because this movement is so powerful. I'm so angry about what has been done to vulnerable children and young people especially in the name of this ideology.
