Just a little note from a French-speaker:
Whenever you see the ending -ère in French, it is pronounced like air. So lumière is pronounced loo-me-air. If the ending was -er it would be like ay

I’ve been using Base Lumière for over ten years. It’s a wonderful primer. It makes my foundation (Vitalumière) last longer.

Hi there, thank you for watching! I would have to ask which you are most concerned with... the Le Blanc de Chanel will be best to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, however, the base lumiere or hydra beauty flash may be better for hydration. I would honestly suggest using a great moisturizer or moisturizing serum like the hydra beauty serum and then go in with the le blanc de chanel primer before foundation. I hope that helps! xx

Hello Erin! I just found your channel and I am so glad I did! You are very informative :) I am just getting into Chanel makeup and I am still trying the products out, what I am finding the most trouble is with the foundation... I currently have the ultra le tint because I get oily and I find that it gets very glowy after 4 hours. I am currently using as primer the new hydra beauty camellia water cream because that’s what the lady at Chanel told me to use but I think I still need to prime. Based on this video I think my best opinion is either the le blanc white or the second one that makes your makeup stay put all day but which one will you say is more effective for oily skin ?! I normally wear my foundation for about 14 hrs before taking it out. I hope you are able to see this. Xoxo - greetings from Canada 💕
Hi Alessandra! I am so happy you found my channel and welcome :) I would recommend the Base Lumiere primer for you. Of course you should moisturize so the water cream is a great skincare step but I would also consider the Perfection Lumiere Velvet foundation the next time, it also has a matte finish. I hope this helps! xx

Hanna, I literally just got home with the Sublimage foundation in my shopping bag... I could scream!!! I will definitely be doing a review very soon! In the video, I'm wearing Tender Beige double intensity lipstick with Constellation lip gloss :)

Thank you for your detailed review!! It was wondering very helpful. I'm a flight attendant and use 'make-up forever step 1 skin equalizer' and some Chanel 'perfection lumiere velvet' and occasional Chanel concealer under my eyes. I fly for very long periods of time but don't want to be too luminous in the face so I don't know if these would be right for me. I am curious if a transparent Chanel powder would be helpful for me to stay matte in the face without looking silvery shiny - do you have any suggestions?
Yes, the translucent pressed powders are amazing, but also if you are looking for a little coverage maybe opt for the teint ultra tenue luminous powder foundation? Because you are flying I would either be sure to use a good moisturizer or even a hydrating setting spray, that way you don't look shiny but your skin doesn't dry out either... just a thought! Thanks! I am 62 and have never used primer or foundation . I hate the cheap stuff. Just purchased Chanel this week instead of Estée Lauder. Now, I am more interested in a very light moisturizing primer.

Actually I grabbed some samples of Chanel foundations a few days ago cause I'm looking for the perfect one (which I haven't found yet) I have a combination skin type (very very oily on the t zone), which duo would you recommend (primer and foundation)?? Thank you so much and keep posting videos 😘
Thank you Nataly! I thikn it depends on the coverage you want... If you like more coverage I would suggest the base lumiere primer and les beiges foundation, but if you prefer a little less coverage or a thinner formula you'd love the perfection lumiere velvet foundation :) Let me know which you decide to go with! xx

Hi Erin! Can you use the Le Blanc primer or the Base Lumiere primer as an eyeshadow primer as well? I love your Chanel videos! They are so helpful! :)
Hey Carly! I hope you're having a great weekend! To answer your question, no... the primers are just for the face because they are intended to help with pores/brightening versus a lid primer that will be a matte finish to color correct. Chanel does make two eyelid primers in a twist pen, beige and bright... depending on your needs, you might be better off just using a little concealer and setting powder :) xx
