I actually also thought few times that I also want to wrestle With God till God gives me all of the blessing...I am already wrestling since....well...a bit longer than one night...
This word has blessed me. My spiritual mentor and I were speaking on this passage with Jacob wrestling God a while ago. I was concerned as I try to do God's will in all things and repent when I don't . Your description of what wrestling means has really helped me in my discernment. The warfare has been so fierce I can hardly use my hands with lots of body pains from the battle and a bunch of other stuff in the church and home living with unbelievers 😢 God bless you 🙏❤️ Persevering with God's grace 🔥🕊️
Hi KC, thanks for your comment, it was very encouraging to read. Yes, it's hard what you've been through especially dealing with pain and people, but I'm so glad that you are persevering in the faith with God's grace, amen. You will see the goodness of the Lord as David did in Psalm 27:13. He experienced so much of what you have described, you're in good company, God bless!
Wow, what a great message. Let us all persevere through these difficult times, Jacob is such a great example. I would never have thought of this story in scripture in this way. Mike, keep preaching brother, God is using you in tremendous ways.
Hi Jeff, your words are life-giving, thank you for your comment, and I will keep preaching as God allows, God bless you, Jeff, you are an encourager in the Body of Christ.
Thank you so much for sharing this Brother Mike! I needed to hear this right now ❤❤❤ I know God's holding me through the storms and he will sit my feet on dry ground, his rock🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hi Myranda, thanks for your comment, it blesses my spirit! When your storm is over, you will not only still be standing, but your faith will be stronger and your love for the Lord will be seen by all in such great power and humility. His hand is upon you, as you perservere. God bless!
Hi Bruce, thank you so much for responding, I'm always blessed to know that somehow the video helped others in their journey with Christ. We are all in this together as we await the Lord's return, yes, the Lion of Judah lives, amen!
Hi Cheryl, I understand, I've been saved for 50 years also and have experienced much wrestling, discouragement and trials, God knows your situation and He will bring breakthrough, you have such a good heart. God bless.
There is so much here to unpack. Thank you Mike, for unfolding the reasons for Jacob’s blessings in this story. We should never give up and surrender in our wrestlings. I feel I need to read the story of Jacob’s wrestling with the stranger, a man, again. Jacob wouldn’t let go of the Lord, and there is so much meat in that. Our wrestlings written in scripture are never against God, but against the principalities of darkness etc.. Ephesians 6:12 KJV [12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Jacob prevailed, then the Lord said he had power with God and with men. He was blessed, and so are we as we prevail in Christ Jesus through the word. God Bless you, Julie and the family.☦️💕
The connection with the Impact of revelation that I needed were the Simple Words "it was time for him to go home" and for me that's not necessarily a physical/geographical Though it's enough to turn my day around if not my spiritual journey on this planet -
Spirit wars against the flesh - flash wars against the Spirit- If what you said sounds blasphemous The Apostle Paul who wrote three quarters of the New Testament is guilty - the real problem in the born-again Evangelical Church is that they've conflated their system of theology with the Holy Spirit - the Holy Spirit is not a system of theology is not a system of theology and a system of theology cannot make the connections with the IMPACT of the Revelation that comes from scripture - In fact the system of theology often divorces us from that connection
Hi Michael, well said! I appreciate your comment and your words regarding the Holy Spirit, you are absolutely right, may God restore the power and the awe of the Holy Spirit to the lukewarm, man generated Church. God bless!
Wow pastor Mike it’s amazing how the Holy spirit led you to share this message today as it was the story and passage I’ve been meditating on all day and asking God to explains to me more about it. Thank you Pastor Mike for your constant obedience to the the Holy Spirit leading. I loved this teaching!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hi Wendy, blessings upon your growing ministry, you are reaching many people with the Word of God as He lays it upon your heart for the viewers He has appointed to your spiritual care. God bless.
Amen!!!!!
He overcame because we wept with repentance and supplication. Hoseah tells us that. I agree with you brother just adding a little with the scripture
Hi, thanks for adding the scripture, another dramatic detail of Jacob's struggle! God bless.
I actually also thought few times that I also want to wrestle With God till God gives me all of the blessing...I am already wrestling since....well...a bit longer than one night...
Thanks Pastor Mike - God bless : )
Amen HalleluYah
