For THOUSANDS of years I lay dormant. Who has disturbed my r-….let me just start analyzing. Basically I talk about relevant characters and moments and how it builds off them. It starts small (by my standards. And most know how crazy I go by now), but as the cast expands so too does a CRAP ton of work put into how specific moments effect characters. Izuku Midoriya is known as an empath. Basically they can feel other people’s emotions practically as their own and it can look like mind reading provided the conditions are met. Obviously it’s not like that but that’s what looks like. But we are VERY in tune with much wider emotions than most would consider. Crying when other people crying and the like. An EXCELLENT choice for a main character trait. The better the main character connects to people, the more immersed you get with characters. And nothing draws out how people tick and align with feelings better than an empath. And we get to see the LONG road this kid has ahead of him doing just that. And the 1st big showing of this boy’s willpower. Getting told by his own mother his dream can’t possibly come true as he desires not because of a character flaw, not because he doesn’t have the drive, but because he was born that way. A BRUTAL interpretation that is not only incorrect as equipment COULD make a quirkless hero, but also the ultimate betrayal of what he needed most. A mother willing to support her son’s dreams anyway. And this kid powers right through this AND his school full of bullies. That his teacher just doesn’t even bother to stop. He’s outcasted. People are intimidated with his thinking and mock his dreams…and tell him to kill himself to reincarnate if he actually wants them to come true. To make him into a MAN. Good humanity display Bakugo! Way to be a teenager you little twerp. Izuku And Izuku’s mom is so worried and guilty she lets herself go. Katsuki Bakugo is the bully and he is just a piece of freaking work. Declaring he’s going to be the best and richest hero over everyone else is one thing but to so thoroughly go out of his way to knock down Izuku’s hopes is just….sheesh. And he’s definitely been doing this for years and is definitely an absolute pro at getting Izuku in every place it hurts. Physically, mentally, and emotionally trashing the poor kid. Surely All-Might being here is PERFECT for this kid saving him from a sludge villain! He’s the number 1 invincible hero! And not…a nearly death inducing experience of grabbing onto a man that jumped at Mach 3. Izuku is going to find SOMEONE that can believe in his dream.
