Has anyone mentioned Jack Cassidy and his Les Paul bass? The man was obcessed with tone. It is surely an amazing bass particularly for the price but it didn't spring up out of nowhere. The only signature model instrument that I would want.
@@TammyZawada Jack's original Gibson, the Les Paul signature bass, I forgot that's also a signature instrument, has a low impedance pickup. The Gibson guitar is rare, not that many were made though oddly enough one made there way into the Scottish Highlands not far from me. I imagine the Epi has also, with low impedance pickups there is a fuller bandwidth, closer to replicating an acoustic tone. Active basses also have low impedance pickup but use a pre amp to boost or cut frequencies where as Jack's bass filters the signal through capacitor, resistor and inductors to alter the tone yet is still passive. Jack and also Phil Lesh, Jefferson Airplane and The Grateful Dead, are my favourite electric bass players. Fine playing by the way, hands are surely the other important factor in tone. Happy bass adventures.
Always liked this bass. Now that they make a Fretless model(I’m mainly a fretless player), it’s definitely on my list for this year. Sounds really good, and a lot of different tones.
@@TammyZawada Oddly, the first video of yours I saw was the Omaha Guitar Center and I immediately noticed an Alembic Epic on the wall, way up at the top! I looked it up on their site and they're only asking $3,300.. sheesh, lol
Sounds awesome, juicy i can say. But tbh i dont like design of the body seems be a bit too big so uncomfortable but maybe is wrong impression. Nice play :D
Tammy-please check out “Good Things Go” by Linkin’ Park. Neither bass or drum heavy. Simply a very heavy, creative vocal and musically recorded track. We always need to be open to other avenues. ❤️✌️🙏
This bass has been on my wish list since it came out. I love it! Sounds great in your hands!
Wow, great choice, it's an amazing bass!
I could live here forever
Music stores can be so enjoyable. I can wander around for hours...
I have one of these basses - they’re fantastic!
Congratulations!

It's a great bass. I really enjoyed it. Super pretty too. But the tone is just pure bliss.

It's one hell of a bass.
nice playing great bass
Thank you
Got me hooked on the first several notes.
Should I turn it into a song?
@@TammyZawada Yes Yes Yes
wow didnt know such a thing existed, sounds great. Found this "1969 vintage emperadour bass guitar"
You mean a hollow body bass guitar?
@@TammyZawada the particular model was just super fancy and interesting.
@@TammyZawada ops yeah i mean i havent seen that fhole hollow body style in a bass before.
I don't play bass... but maybe this is the one to start. thanks for the demo
It would really be a great bass to own even for a non bass player.
The stingray hanging on the wall would be a better choice
Apples vs Oranges.
I'll check out a Stingray next time!
Very true.
Leave it to you, Tammy, to demonstrate that a semi hollow or thinline bass can be used for slapping. That’s discouraged also.
Thank you. I even slap my acoustic!
Cool, Tammy. I’ve been told that’s not supposed to happen.
Man! You are going to sell a lot of bassas, Tammy... Pete.
If people find value in my reviews, that would make me super happy
I would love to watch you play an Alembic.
I would love to try one out, I've never even seen one!!!

@@Oldscoolify OMG I missed it!!!!!!
Ohhhh I see it now, it's in the used basses section, that makes sense. I was so occupied with the Ricks, I totally missed it!
It has some pretty bright tones for a hollow body bass.
ANY 5 STRING OR FRETLESS VERSIONS AVAILABLE ? IF YES, HOW MUCH ?
I have no idea, it was hanging in the store, I thought it looks beautiful so I tried it out. I don't know anything about these basses.
It doesn’t have a battery and I have strung mine with flat black tape wound strings, sounds even better!
It's a great sounding bass.
Are you wearing anything below except the guitar?
This comment gives me ideas...
Мне нравится 6-7 струн басы
I've never played a 7 string bass. I'd love to.
@TammyZawada :) прикольно, посмотрите в магазинах ibanez
you are right tho, this one sounds amazing tho!! Thx 8)
Doesn't it? I was quite shocked. It's also sooooo beautiful. Crazy how some of these basses have such simple designs yet sound so good.
@@TammyZawada yes shocked right along with you. That's also very cool in the real sense that it was $500 vs $3400 or whatever...yay!!! haha
@@MusicAdvocat3 I know right? Spoiler alert: I did not like that Spector at all...
@@TammyZawada haha I gathered that from your expression XD
@@MusicAdvocat3 Spector review coming tomorrow ;D I'm gonna get some hate for it I think..... but oh well, I just want to be honest...

I will, thank you!
Please tell me it doesn't take a battery. Stupid 9volts. 😂
I'm pretty sure it's a passive bass! You have trouble with 9v batteries?
@TammyZawada No. I just want to keep it plugged in for live loop, so I just pick it up. Convince is the problem.
