I am amazed by this very elaborate work you are doing! Thank god Shleimann didnt excavate Pylos too! We would know less things for these people now.. As a Greek,i am thankful to the university of Minnesota for researching Bronze age Greece!
Extraordinary! I only wish John Chadwick were still alive to hear of these amazing more recent finds. Surely the Griffon Warrior's tomb originated right here, yes?
Lovely work - a timeless report thank you speaking personally I can do without ‘skull/facial reconstruction’ - as i think it dates things badly - I was never convinced when it began with plasticine but that hands on art was lost when it all went digital (and cheaper!). It dates because nowadays of the curse of even more souless ai art All available at the press of a button makes reconstruction seem even more whimsical and ephemeral. I like imaginative work but that stuff was never real
Buried in an Olive Grove With Bronze mirror ,ivory Comb ,Sword, staff ,seal With what seems to be his image on it. Golden ring, Necklace & Arm band. Symbols Symbolizing domain over Sky and Earth power, status. Sounds more like a Griffin king/ Warrior who Wasn't afraid of the battlefield.
I thoroughly enjoyed that, thank you, just wish some more tablets would turn up. I'm beginning to resent the Mycenaeans for not keeping historical records , I love the art style and objects they and the Minoans produced but I want records to compare to the classical myths, its like they are deliberately frustrating us, as if they were just about to begin keeping records that weren't boring lists of things and invoices of linear b but stopped. I hope a bronze age archive turns up anywhere in the Aegean , that isn't endless laundry lists of things! don't care from where new Hittite or something from Arzawa Crete or Cyprus. very annoying that a society I love Mycenaean followed by another I love classical cannot be properly connected! That sun symbol looks like the Kutlesh Star from Macedon. Why the heck would it be in Pylos. This makes it appear like they were much stronger and had a larger empire than we realized, yes?
Kutlesh Star? There is no Shhh shhh weird sounds in this region, only Taryar bulgars speak like this. This is the Argead Sun!!! The Argead Sun of the Ancient Macedonians was a Panhellenic Symbol that is found all over the Hellenic World even before the rise of the Original Greek Macedonians.
@@willcoennen4234 Manolis* The 16 Rayed Star is found in other territories of Ancient Greece…there is a Krater in the Louvre that dates back to 7th Century BC Sparta that is 100% exactly the same as the Argead Sun that was found by Andronikos in the Tombs at Aigai (Vergina). 👍 Btw, the town’s Ancient Greek name Aigai means: the Place of Goats 🐐 because in one of the foundational myths of the Macedonians Caranus was said to have been told to build it where a flock of Goats led him. ".. *But Caranus, accompanied by a great multitude of Greeks, having been directed by an oracle to seek a settlement in Macedonia* and having come into Emathia, and *followed a flock of goats* that were fleeing from a tempest, possessed himself of the city of Edessa .." -Justin [Epitome of the the Philippic History of Pompeius Trogus 7.2] Hope that helps! 👍

Enjoyable:liked the discovery that the elite were using Minoan themes to show their power!
