Nah the 2017 scandal still living up there in the dome? That was 6 years ago buddy and the only players on that team who are currently Astros are Altuve and McCullers. Altuve was one of the few who didnt partake and McCullers is a pitcher
Maybe the Cardinals should offer Arenado a no play option in St. Louis for 2025 if he decides to block trades when they were willing to pony up $15-20M to Houston.
Dodgers fan here …I like that trade that Jim came up with . I want Arenado on the dodgers at 3rd base and muncy at 2nd. Mookie at shortstop. Trade lux for pitching and prospects
The Cardinals want to play Nolan Gorman at 3B in 2025. This is about much more than a salary dump. From the reporting, they are willing to pay $15-20M to trade Arenado.
Traded or not...... Arenado will have a much better season in 2025. The Cardinals have a new hitting coach and have expanded coaching and tools though out the organization. The majority of the team saw offensive decline the last season and a half. There was a problem within.
Re: LAD trade, yes CTaylor has only one year left. But Nolan has 3,, with the big contract. Why would Dodgers want to be on the hook for all that, for a declining superstar?
I looked at his stats, and I believe he is actually better than muncy. Even the last couple seasons. I thought Muncy was better, but when I actually did my research I was proven wrong.
@@StrattbattYou probably looked at Arenado’s career stats. Muncy’s has had better underlying offensive metrics than Arenado the last 2 years. Muncy better at getting on base as well
@@hepatitiscyalater7269 No, I looked at his stats from last year and a couple years before that on baseball reference. He had about a 270 batting average which is about 50 or 60 points better than Max Muncy’s. Nolan Arenado also had the same amount of Homers as muncy this last year. The only big offensive stat that I see that could possibly say that Muncy is better would be his On base Percentage. Which is really high because of how much Muncy walks.

It is in the collective bargaining agreement and called 10-5 rights. A player qualifies with 10 years of service time with 5 consecutive years the same team.
See anything familiar ? The Cardinals Front Office is a rudderless ship , Arenado will just be the next player the Cardinals give away and get nothing just to dump a salary !
Trading Arenado is more than just a salary dump though. It also opens up AB's for Gorman, Sagesse, Donovan & possibly Burleson. I'd rather watch those guys sink or swim, than see Arenado pout, sulk, throw tantrums & struggle all while bringing 0 leadership.
@Markmen-cw8dj Nolan had a higher batting average than Bregman and Paredes last year. He had more hits than Bregman and Paredes last year. He's also(and still)proven at third base. Winning multi gold gloves through out the years On the other hand, Bregman only has 1 gold glove and didn't deserve to win a Gold Glove last year, either. There were more third basemen who were more deservingly qualified to win it but they only gave it to Bregman because they felt sorry for him for not winning a Gold Glove yet. Lol
The Cardinals Traded for Nolan Arenado and Accepted His Contract so they Should be Forced to Fully Honor it entirely which means “No Trade”.
The fact that LAA is in his OK list is mildly entertaining 😂
He'll be much better than Anthony Rendón but yeah, I know. He doesn't care too much about winning. Lol.
Maybe just maybe it's because he grew up in OC... wow crazy
St Louis has to eat alot of money before a trade will get done with any teams he has approved!!!
Nolan Aranado didn't want to be a Houston TrAshtro! I respect him so much for that! That's something Dodgers fans can get on board with!

@BALLCAP Sports it made no sense for Houston to trade for Arenado. They might as well just sign a short term contact to Breggman
When this was reported on Twitter, the writer said that Arenado's choice is tho be traded to the Dodgers.
Astros gonna miss that 11 hr he bring.
They *have* to say Muncy is their 3Bman because saying otherwise would destroy Lux's trade value.
Houston just dodged a bullet with his declining azz.
If Arenado was truly a Dodgers fan he would have accepted that trade and just sabotaged Houston from the inside with his mediocre play
