me and my buddies went there a couple years ago, my Tundra and two Tacos, and I thought that the lake was decently full. but this time it looks like its hella full! we did the river crossing last time but it looks like that part is submerged. I gotta go up there again, this time with my 4runner.
Oh it’s definitely worth it to go right now, that area with the water crossing is fully submerged probably under 6+ feet of water lol the area is super nice now!
"This is where we switch" 😂. I bet you switched at that hair pin turn eh? I was just there today. Just got home. Great place. My wife wanted nothing to do with the driving lol. I'm definitely going back. Dope spot for sure! Take care! 👊🏽
Yeah it was the sharp turn with the step up lol I think she would’ve been fine if the jeep guy would’ve give us way. Usually the people going up have the right away but the guy kept going 🤦🏻♂️ Love bowman, we try to go up twice a year if we have time. Cheers 🍻
@@Mrdavidlee1210 there’s a big dip that leads into a rock step. If you stay toward the left you should be able to clear it. If it’s too much there’s actually a service road that comes in from the 89 but I haven’t taken that way before. I just know it’s flat enough to bring a trailer in.
Usually I can get here in my lifted Outback no problem but that step up spot always gives me a little trouble. I usually just hit it hard left. Has it gotten worse? Heard you mention it was worse than before lol.

Mmm I shot this a week before I posted it. Very recent. Yeah if you’re coming up in a sprinter van I wouldn’t suggest coming in through the normal entrance lol. There’s other ways to get to bowman lake.
@@RoamWithJon Have you watched their other videos from over here and in Australia? I am excited about the next US one, it was here in AZ, Bulldog Canyon.
Been going here for the past 10 years. It’s definitely changed for the worst because of these type of videos. We are slowly going to lose public land because of TH-camrs and geotaggers.
I understand where you’re coming from, that’s why I don’t specifically “name” or “geotag” lesser known locations where I go. But bowman being bowman, everyone knows about it. In my opinion us losing access to public land and or trails closing down isn’t going to be because of a TH-cam video or people geotagging a location, it’s because people aren’t being taught to respect the land. People don’t know how to leave a place better than when they found it. That why we’re in many cases cleaning up after the people who were there before us.
@@RoamWithJon Yes and people who don't respect the land look for videos like this, rather than find the locations by word of mouth/gmaps. No need to contribute to the problem, just leave the name out! It doesn't change your video at all man

Yeah, the side by side clowns came after the overlanders. I have seen plenty of instagram overlanders leave all kinds of shit on trees, trash in fire pits, and bottle caps and cans everywhere. Everything was better when people didn’t feel the need to record every little 2wd fire road “adventure” . Bowman is nothing it used to be 7-10yrs ago.
@Bluecollarham I mean you can say the same thing for almost anything to be honest. A lot my favorite fishing spots I’ve been going to for decades have been blow out just because of TH-cam and geo tagging apps. I don’t have an issue with the amount of people going out and having fun. As long as they respect the land. You should out the people you see leaving their trash everywhere. Nice, bro.
I’ll be heading up there in a month with some family.
Great place to chill for sure.
Ahh man it’s gonna be super nice, we might go back up this weekend haha.

Aha thanks! Love the area, sawmill was going to be a backup if there was no room at bowman.
Awesome video! Do you think a rav4 prime stock suspension and AT tires could make it up there?
Yes definitely there’s one spot that you might have issues with but you should be fine.
