Alot of times when a band is covering another group, but they have more 'players' on one or more of the instruments than the original did (a band with 2 guitarists covering a song by a guitar-bass-drum trio band, for example, or the original band having a prominent synth player while the band covering doesn't have one at all, etc) just that simple aspect alone can often throw off the vibe of a cover, to where it feels too cluttered, or conversely too empty where it's missing a parts. But while it looks like Colin sat this one out (that's Ed on bass, right?) the power of both Thom and Jonny's guitars kicking in on the "I'll break them down / No mercy shown" chorus really adds a vibe that's totally different than the original, but works in it's own unique way...much more dynamics.
