    For question 1 part 1, if you don't initialize the variables it gives an error. you either have to initialize or add global keyword

      Yes, you're right. Therefore I actually recommend the second method instead.

    For part a, can you write:
    global NumberOfJobs
    global Jobs
    ?
    Or is better to ignore 'global' as its not needed?

      Hey Sienna, you can put global when you declare as well although it's not necessary. When you define the variables outside the procedure or function, it will be global by default. Just be careful that when you are trying to access the global variable within the procedure or function, always have the word global or else it will be a local variable within the function. A quick tip to test is always use the print function to print out the variable to check if your variable is being updated correctly either outside or inside a procedure/function.
