    Cindy,
You need to get a work up on your heart . I’m 68 years and I thought I was having problems with my heart….. my life partner had open heart surgery without having a heart attach and I had been so stressed along with me being his care taker .. I finally got my up stress test , nuclear etc . This will make you feel better and you’ll know how your heart is doing ….everything came out fine for me thank god . I wish you would do the same .
    I’m glad you ok ❤

As a nurse for over 35 years, this makes me so sad. Nurses are never too busy to look a patient in the eye and communicate. I’m
embarrassed to hear this type of unprofessionalism goes on. Sounds like there is poor leadership as well…I am happy to know you’re ok ❤️

I was a nurse for many years and it sure isn't like it was 25 years ago. I know there is a shortage of nurses and they are worked beyond sometimes what one human can do in a shift. Happy you are ok Cindy.

I am so glad you are okay. ❤ To be in the medical field is a “calling”. It is not for everybody. I totally 💯 agree with you Cindy. We are people and we’re already scared about being in the ER. Where is the empathy? Where is the compassion? That’s why a lot of people I know do not like to go to the hospital.

I worked in medical field almost 29 years. I have never used their services until I retired. If I had treated patients they way I am treated I would have been fired! I try to respect the professionals in this field but they certainly were not trained properly or just do not care. My diagnosis is I am 71 and they say "what the heck" By the way if a patient enter our ER we had to have a 20 minute turn around in getting their blood to lab!

I agree under a, lot of pressure indeed a lot of nurses suffered in the UK during covid and a lot left the profession due to stress anxiety and the impact on their mental health note the story about the drunk, our healthcare professionals experience abuse more now than they ever did it was unheard of at one time, a friend of mine was a, paramedic no longer, she was kicked in the stomach in A&E by a drunk patient she had literally picked up from the road and brought into A&E, after the assault she collapsed with a perforated bowel she left the profession

I was an ER nurse for years. You did exactly the right thing by calling 911. I hope I never handled myself as you described. There really is no excuse for not establishing a rapport with your patient. I recently took my 43 year old daughter to an ER with chest pain who has a history of a heart condition. I was so upset with her care. Even when I was busy and the ER was crazy, I was polite and introduced myself. Glad you are okay. That's what's most important.

I agree with you 💯 The ERs in the USA need to be revamped. The staff seems to be in a huge fog since Covid ( it was an issue before C but has only gotten worse) It’s like the staff has forgotten they are working with HUMANS, snd they are actually working FOR US. It’s got to get better. The cost is out of control and the staff is rude.

I know the medical field is draining but a little better communication while in ER is needed. I am grateful for those working in the hospital.

I’m glad you weren’t suffering from a heart attack Cindy. I have a similar story, but unfortunately it was a heart attack. It was on a Saturday evening and I had made myself a lovely dinner of crab legs, Caesar salad, garlic bread with cheese and a nice bottle of white wine. I started to eat, but like you I had these chest pains. I tried to take deep breaths, got up and walked around, but the pain wouldn’t go away. All of the sudden I started to get sick and couldn’t stop. I knew something was really, really wrong so I called 911 and off I went. Don’t ever ignore the pains. When I got to the hospital they did a blood draw, asked me all kinds of questions. Several hours later the doctor came back and told me they wanted to take more blood. They had found the protein in my blood that is there when you have a heart attack. Sure enough it was a heart attack. Scary, but I survived so if you get chest pains that cause you to get sick call 911.

Cindy….I’m sorry you had that scare, but am so glad you’re doing better. I will say that I recently had a similar experience in the ER with my fiancé. We were clueless as to who was caring for him, how long we’d be there, etc. The service we received at our Vancouver, Washington hospital was unbelievably horrible. My fiancé ended up having severe kidney stones with incredible pain. Long story short, we were in that ER for 13 hours until we saw the doctor! It seemed like they only had 2 nurses in the whole ER. To me, it was unacceptable. I understand that hospitals are short handed, but for what health care costs, we deserve better. I was appalled. I hope things start to improve.

Hi Cindy, I have had those same symptoms with pressure on my chest , neck and shoulder pain. My Doctor diagnosed it as Anxiety attack. Sweating and hard to breath as well. That was 13 years ago and we were gong through a lot in our lives. I still get those feelings and believe it or not a glass of water makes it go away for me. I think sometimes we don't realize things in our lives creep up on us even subconsciously.
I still am aware that it could be heart related especially if a glass of water doesn't make it better!! Interesting how our emotions can create a physical ailment.

I still recommend you call 911 if in the future you are having similar symptoms. My father was not feeling well, went to an ER and was discharged a few hours later. After arriving home he was feeling worse and called 911. He was having a massive heart attack. Years later he died of one. Please don't ignore your symptoms and think it's only an indigestion. I’m so glad you’re ok. Ohhhh yes, the pandemic changed the trajectory of how ER’s work. GONE are those days! I sat 12 hours in the ER with EXTREMELY high BP. They triaged me, did bloodwork, EKG, AND admitted me from the ER ROOM! Where I spent the night because they had no rooms! 😳 There was a 97 year, old woman, with a massive head wound who came in via ambulance, they took her to the back for about 30 minutes and stuck her right back out in the waiting room, and she just sat there with a bandage wrapped around her head. Forget it, the pandemic did so much damage to our healthcare system that they are so short staffed, and there are more patients then there are doctors and nurses. I truly understand your frustration and it’s extremely sad that in most people’s scariest moments wondering whether they’re going to live or die or what is going on with their health there’s the added stress of an ER visit. And even the most caring medical staff are just exhausted & overwhelmed.

Hi Cindy, please find a good Cardiologist and ask for an Echocardiogram. This is a procedure where you lay on the table and the technician takes a wand with some gel and places it on your heart. It can tell if your heart is working normally. It checks valve function and looks for any defects. My main concern for you is your shortness of breath
This can happen if you have clogged arteries in your heart. It's a simple procedure that can rule out many things. It doesn't hurt . It's just like having an ultrasound. Having bloodwork at the ER can only rule out if you were having a heart attack but it does not determine if you have clogged arteries. Please do this extra precautionary step. I'm speaking from experience.
    God bless 🙌

When it happened to me; I only had one pain across my chest but I was extremely fatigued. Doctor said I had to go to the ER. It was ONLY the blood work that showed I had a mild heart attack. This led to me having a cardiac catherization which showed I had a 90% blockage! That was a Friday. I had a triple bypass-pass on Monday. This saved my life. I was in my 60s. I never had any ndication of a heart condition before this. Had low blood pressure, good cholesterol levels & no other indications of a heart condition. The blood work indicated I had a heart attack. You are very lucky. Thank God🙏❤️

It’s sad how the medical field lost the ability to introduce themselves and be a bit more sensitive to the patient who is probably worried about the situation their in. Cindy, I’ve been to the ER at least 4 times. I am older than you & have had a mild heart attack called “Broken Heart Syndrome “ after my husband died. I have never had an experience like yours. My ER experiences were at 2 different hospitals; one a large medical Center & the others at my hometown hospital. The ER employees were all very considerate, wore name tags & introduced themselves & what they were going to do. Each hospital has a climate or culture that developed from Management downwards. It’s the same at large corporation sure. My visits were over more than 25 years. I don’t want any of your readers to be afraid of going to the ER. Speak slowly & treat staff like they are special & they’ll treat you like gold. People who work in the health services are special.. they see special things you cannot imagine; they save lives every day. Without them, we’d be lost. Treat them with respect & politely ask what they’re doing if they don’t tell you. My Kate daughter was a nurse who was very special. My two sons are medical professionals. One is a Veterinarian & the other is an ER professional, who has saved many lives & lost many patients. Hardest thing for them is losing a child. It takes them a long time to get over that kind of tragedy. You were smart to go to the ER. You probably might have been taken care of quicker if you had been sent there by a doctor but maybe not. Sounds like that ER Staff needs some Interpersonal training. Stay healthy. I was a lot younger when I had my heart attack. Take care of yourself - your health - not your hair!😍

Still I salute you! The hours you work, the things you see and have to do. I’m a teacher and they say it takes certain types of people to teach. Takes miracle workers to nurse. Mu former mother in law was an RN in a hospital.

Cindy, my husband and I are a connoisseurs of the ER lately having been in several lately from Calif., Arizona, Nevada, to Idaho not once but several times all in a matter 4 months. One time my hubby and i were both in a ER room calling each other to see which room the other was in lol. Believe me most of them do as you suggest and would have hoped for…especially the Kaiser group>>>i have NEVER been Kaiser fan and joined kicking and screaming….but i have to say theirs are about the best especially in So Cal. Also if in Reno take a spin in the RENOWNED hospital…gorgeous and great care. You just got a bad one. Feel better my friend.

Hi, Cindy! Gosh…what an experience you had at the emergency…much less having to call 911! I am glad to see you are okay! I have had too many experiences in emergencies. Unfortunately I have encountered the same…but I am patient…too patient sometimes..just don’t say nothing…and I could be dying.😞☹️ I have been hospitalized 3 times for high blood pressure..my stays are usually 2 to 3 days…I was bad in not taking care of myself…and this year I found out I have heart failure after a trip to emergency for Covid. Long story short..I am on heart failure meds, doing okay..so better to be aware of your body when in doubt of pain in your chest. BTW…I enjoyed watching you use hair extensions! I have..or had very thick hair until I got on these heart meds. Lost a lot of hair from it. I might consider buying extensions! Thanks for sharing! Have a blessed rest of the week! 💕🙏🌸

I was getting over a bad cold my sister was staying with me and I felt really bad going to pass out! It’s the scariest thing in the world! 🙏🏻 I’m sorry you were by yourself! 💜🙏🏻💜🙏🏻

💐 Hi Cindy, I’m so sorry that you experienced such a scare! It’s so difficult to believe it when we have something like that happen!! Please, if you need to go to the hospital again, go to Eisenhower!!! Your care will be so much better!!! We have a house in Sun City and come out quite often. You never want to go to a smaller hospital like that, especially if you suspect anything more than a cold! You always look so beautiful 😊. Very refreshing to see a woman our age that really cares! I wish you the best! 🩷👛💄👠🐶🌷

I am 66 and semi retired and I have a roommate who is disabled male that we have known for a long time. He’s in his seventies. I have a grown daughter and three grandkids who are close by and several cats. My best girlfriend past away a few years ago and I don’t have many girlfriends except a few from jr high who I only interact with on Facebook! So I guess there are pros and cons in life although I could easily live alone!

Hi Cindy, I am so happy you are fine and doing well. What a scare especially when you’re alone. I agree with you. No one has time to do anything or do their job well these days. The one concern I have is perhaps because it was such a hot day and you were working in the heat and blowing Using your blower could cause you to take in a lot of dust and then when you went into your house that had just been cleaned. Perhaps they use cleaning agents that were not good for you. Maybe they should be told to use natural cleaning aids if they are not doing so. Bless you continued good health. I love your show and You.🙏🏻

Ohmigosh, regarding your comment of “if I was a kindergarten teacher, I would save these and figure out a way to use them for some kind of a lesson and save enough for everybody to have one and we could share”…
I sure got a big smile on my face hearing that. As a sign language interpreter, I’ve had the honor to work alongside many really great teachers and have marveled at their heart for teaching, heart for their kids, their ability to make learning fun and keep order in a room full of wiggly students.
I’m retired now, but your comment took me right back to those happy times of watching a true pro at work in her classroom. 😊

After working in an ER once a week for 6 years, some nurses need a refresher class on how to act. Also, I hope it wasn't a gall bladder attack. Or esophageal spasm. I have had that and its painful. I did go in there thinking I was having a
Gallbladder attack. It was a heart attack with no normal symptoms. So glad youare ok.

Oh Cindy, so good that you called. Sometimes we second guess , I had a heat stroke this summer and I passed out and fortunately my friend was with me enjoying a cold margarita at the outside shopping area in town called the landing. I refused going to hospital but my friend took me home and stayed with me a couple of hours . I went to my Doc on Monday and found a small cyst on my brain after having a cat scan. The Doc is watching the cyst but long story short I was sick with vertigo for 6 weeks . The great thing is the EMTs did a ekg right then and there and all was good as far as my stats. I hope you will follow up with your primary doc as I did. It’s so scary kid when we are alone , we all know our own body and we know when things aren’t right. So just go with your gut feeling.

My husband had a bad bout of chest pain during the night that turned out to be heartburn but his doctor said never ignore these symptoms as they are very similar to a heart attack. I cut my thumb half off last summer, and waited THIRTEEN hours to get it stitched up. Took 6 hours to get to a room. Then 7 more before the doc came in. Who immediately yanked the gauze bandage off my hand, which cause the wound to reopen PAINFULLY, gushing blood EVERYWHERE all over again. I started crying it was soooo painful. 2 people had come in that entire time, and they were there because they walked into my room by accident! This is in the PAC NW. These issues are EVERYWHERE! 😬

So glad you are ok. I totally agree with your thoughts about the hospital. It is just another day for them but it is a scary time for the patient and they need to take a moment to let you know what the plan of action/treatment will be. I have been in the ER with my elderly parents and literally had to go track someone down to find out what was going on. They leave you for hours in a room with no communication for far too long.

My husband had a major heart attack 3 months ago. Nonsmoker, slim, with a clean bill of health the previous month. If he had waited a few more minutes before calling 911, he wouldn't have survived. He was airlifted to the hospital for a triple bypass. I'm thankful they saved his life but the after care in the hospital (17 days) was atrocious. Dirty hospital and short staffed. Thankful you're okay.❤❤❤❤

Cindy-Thank you for going to ER. I’m so thankful you are OK. Unfortunately, the services now at almost all ERs, is poor. They are understaffed to the point of time is used for critical, urgent care, and actively dying people. Manners are no longer practiced. The shifts most nurses work are double shifts, and they are on auto-pilot. But you are absolutely right about you have every right to be informed of your status and being kept up-to-date. I’m sorry you were treated the way you were. It’s not asking too much to know the doctor’s name, and what the treatment plan for you is. But, things in the ER have changed and no improvement is expected anytime soon. Still go to the ER when something feels different and you are having chest pain. At our age, we have no choice.
I will support you for President, as I totally agree with your policies. Love the extensions. Your hair is always gorgeous. I loved your video today. Thanks for getting me out of the house and taking me shopping. I enjoyed it. Hugs from Mare in Texas. ❤
